Directions
From Steamboat Springs, Travel 20 miles southeast on US Hwy 40, then 2 miles northeast on Forest Development Road 315, toward Dumont Lake Campground, then 4 miles northwest on Forest Development Road 311.
Location Information
Base Camp Trailhead is located southeast of Steamboat Springs, just north of Dumont Lake Campground, on Rabbit Ears Pass. The Wyoming Trail #1101 begins at this trailhead. The Wyoming Trail can be used to access numerous other trails from this point north along the Park Range and the Continental Divide. Most of these other trails run either west into the Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District or east into The Parks Ranger District. Between Base Camp and Buffalo Pass, one can access Fish Creek Trail #1102, Mountain View Trail #1032, and Trail #1134 into The Parks Ranger District.
