Location Information
Cordova Pass Trailhead is located on Forest Road 41, 6 miles due east of State Highway 12 at Cuchara Pass, 20 miles south of the town of La Veta, CO. It is at an elevation of 11,000 feet above sea level. The site consists of three constructed single family picnic units, each providing a table and pedestal grill, and three constructed tent camping units, each with a tent pad, table and fire ring with grill. A 1/2 mile handicapped accessible trail accesses a scenic view point. Sixteen spaces for parking is provided (4 RVs). Sanitation facilities consist of one single-unit CXT sweet smelling toilet. Trash collection will be by two bear-proofed 30-gal. cans. All facilities are new and in excellent condition. The parking areas and access trails are aggregate surfaced. No fees have been collected at this site.

NOTE: These facilities are currently under construction with completion
scheduled by July 1, 1998 (weather permitting).

Attractions include hiking, backpacking, and scenic viewing.
