Directions
From Jefferson, Lost Park Campground & Trailhead are located approximately 20 miles southeast of the town of Jefferson, Colorado. Visitors may reach this area by taking State Highway 285 north out of Jefferson for one mile to County Road 56. Travel approximately 19 miles southeast on this road. This road dead-ends into the campground.
Location Information
Lost Park Campground & Trailhead are located approximately 20 miles southeast of the town of Jefferson, Colorado. This developed site is adjacent to the Lost Park Wilderness. This 105,000 acre Wilderness has a wide variety of terrain and vegetation types, from steep rocky slopes to high mountain meadows and deep canyons. Wigwam and Brookside McCurdy Trails lead east, and south and north respectively, from the trailhead. Each leads into the heart of the Lost Creek Wilderness and can be used for extended trips on foot or horseback.
