Four Mile Trailhead Content provided by   Wildernet
Quick Facts
Elevation:  9,960 Feet
Reservation:  No
Season:  May - October
Directions
From Buena Vista, Drive north on County Road 371 from the main street in Buena Vista. Make a right on to County Road 377 immediately before you drive through the Railroad tunnels bored in the rock along the Arkansas River. Travel approximately 5.5 miles on 377/375 until 375 splits to the right. Drive 2 more miles to the trailhead. This is defined as a four-wheel drive road on the map, but a passenger car would have few problems unless the road became very wet.
Location Information
Fourmile Trailhead is located approximately 12 miles northeast of Buena Vista. It provides access to the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness Area, Fourmile Creek Trail, Rough and Tumbling Trail, Rich Creek Trail and Salt Creek Trail. The trailhead has room for 5 cars. No facilities are located at the trailhead.
