From Truckee, Travel 17 miles north on Hwy. #89 to reach the Little Truckee Summit Off-Highway Vehicle trailhead.
Location Information
The Little Truckee Summit Off-Highway Vehicle Trailhead is located 17 miles north of Truckee at an elevation of 6,300 feet. This trailhead has restrooms and campfire rings, but there is no potable water. Most of the area is open to over-the-snow-vehicle travel. Some popular destination points include: Jackson Meadow Reservoir, Meadow Lake, Mount Lola, Lake of the Woods and Haypress Valley. There are three marked snowmobile routes in the area.

These routes total approximately 90 miles and depending on snow conditions may require advanced skills on some portions of the trails. Also, beware of snow grooming equipment that may be working on the routes.
