Quick Facts
Elevation:  9,000 Feet
Reservation:  No
Directions
From Gunnison, Drive three miles north on Highway 135 to Ohio Creek Road, Forest Service Road 730. Travel 14 miles north on Ohio Creek Road to the winter closure.
Location Information
The Ohio Creek Winter Trailhead lies 14 miles north of Highway 135. Lack of winter maintenance turns Ohio Creek Road into a facility for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country and backcountry skiing. Users can gain access to Kebler Pass, the Anthracite Range and several backcountry trails from Ohio Creek Road. Avalanche danger in the Ohio Creek Valley ranges from medium to high potential. The danger increases as users reach the upper valley.
