From Gunnison, Travel three miles north on Highway 135 to Ohio Creek Road, Forest Service Road 730. Drive nine miles north on Ohio Creek Road to Mill Creek Road, Forest Service Road 727. Turn left on Mill Creek Road and travel four and a half miles to the trailhead.
Location Information
Mill Castle Trailhead lies on Mill Creek Road, Forest Road 727, which stems from Ohio Creek Road approximately nine miles north of Highway 135. The trailhead provides access to the Mill Creek Valley, Storm Pass and the Castles rock formation in the West Elk Wilderness. Mill Castle Trail leads west from the trailhead. Lowline Trail begins one mile east of the trailhead on Mill Creek Road.
