From Steamboat Springs, Go 4 miles north on Routt County Road 36 (Strawberry Park Road), then 3 miles north on Forest Development Road 314. Road 314 is a four-wheel drive road.
Location Information
The Elk Park trailhead is located about 8 miles north of Steamboat Springs on Forest Road 314. Road 314 is a four-wheel drive road. This trailhead directly accesses the Elk Park Trail #1118, a relatively short trail which links to the Swamp Park Trail #1100. Trail #1100 can serve as a trunk trail to the Red Dirt Trail #1171, Luna Lake Trail #1168, and the Roaring Fork Trail #1166. See the trails section for descriptions of the above trails.
