Location Information
The Buffalo Pass Trailhead is located east of Steamboat Springs on Buffalo Pass, near Summit Lake Campground. It immediately accesses the Wyoming Trail #1101, which runs north through the Mt Zirkel Wilderness into Wyoming. The Wyoming Trail links to numerous other trails running mostly either to the east or the west. Some of these trails between Buffalo Pass and Slavonia include: Trail #1132, Luna Lakes Trail #1168, #1182, #1130, #1131, North Lake Trail #1164, Three Island Lake Trail #1163, #1129, and Gold Creek Lake Trail #1150. Some of the above trails are described in the Trails section. Many of the trails in this area have been affected by the large tree blowdown and may not be fully accessible.
