Peace Arch State park consists of 20 acres in the city of Blaine. It is the site of the annual US/Canadian "Peace Arch" day commemorating the signing of the treaty calling for an unguarded US/Canadian border from the Bay of Fundy to the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Horticultural displays with over 25,000 annual flowers are planted each year at the 67-foot Peach Arch.

Park amenities include 100 picnic sites, parking for 350 vehicles, a reservable kitchen shelter, two comfort stations, a greenhouse, 0.6 miles of road. In addition, there are 10 miles of hiking trails and an .8 mile interpretive trail in the park.

Recreation within the park includes the annual US/Canadian "Peace Arch" Day, horticultural displays, interpretation, picnicking, and miscellaneous city sponsored recreational programs.

Washington's climate varies with each region. Peace Arch State Park is located in an area "protected" by surrounding ocean waters and mountain ranges. Temperatures are consistently moderate, rarely topping 80 degrees in the summer and rarely falling below 30 degrees in the winter.

Annual rainfall averages 36 inches. In the summer months, and especially during July and August, the park may go for weeks without a cloud in the sky. Snowfalls occur mainly in January and February and usually total only one or two inches. Northeast winds may cause temperature extremes.
