The 453-acre Ike Kinswa State Park has 46,000 feet of freshwater shoreline with 400 feet of unguarded swimming beach, a boat launch and three miles of hiking trails.Park amenities include 41 trailer sites, 60 tent sites, two primitive sites, 51 picnic sites, five comfort stations, a bathhouse, a Big Toy play area and a concession for the sale of food, beverage, and groceries. The park is on the Campsite Reservation System.
Picnicking, camping, boating, water skiing, fishing, and hiking are some of the activities enjoyed in the park.
Washington's climate varies with each region. The Cascades split the state and alter weather patterns. Moisture bearing winds coming from the west give generous amounts of precipitation to the western slopes of the mountains, with wintertime snow above about 3000 feet. This area has an average annual precipitation of 85 inches and an average wintertime snow depth of one to four inches, but lots of summertime sunshine.
Maximum winter temperatures are in the mid- to high 40s with minimum temperatures in the mid 30s. Summers are warm with maximum and minimum temperatures in the mid 70s and low 50s, respectively. This area averages 51 inches of precipitation per year.
