Curlew Lake State Park covers 123.30 acres with 4,540 feet of waterfront on Curlew Lake. The park offers 18 utility (Water,Electric,Sanitation) sites, seven utility (Water,Electric) sites, 57 standard sites, five primitive fly-in campsites, two restrooms, 10 picnic sites, a 2-lane boat launch, a one mile hiking trail, 1.75 miles of roadway, a park shop and a trailer dump. Of special interest at the park are significant archeological sites.

Activities include camping, picnicking, fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming.

Washington's climate varies with each region. The Cascades split the state and alter weather patterns. Curlew Lake State Park, located east of the mountains, receives significantly less rainfall than regions west of the mountains with an average annual precipitation of twelve inches.

Average summer temperatures are 94 degrees maximum and 50 degrees minimum. Because central Washington is landlocked and subject to winter winds, winter temperatures are much colder than those in western Washington.
