Belfair State Park covers 62 acres with 3,720 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal.

Amenities include 290 feet of unguarded swimming beach, which is an enclosed, man-made, saltwater basin controlled by a tide gate. Also provided is one horseshoe pit and a play area.

The camp area has a total of 184 campsites (47 with trailer hookups). There are three comfort stations, a day use area with 205 tables and a bathhouse/comfort station. The park is on the Campsite Reservation Program.

Please Note: Beaches are closed to clam and oyster harvesting due to pollution at the end of Hood Canal.

Activities in the park include camping, picnicking, beachcombing, crabbing, kite flying, swimming and horseshoe.

The climate in this area is influenced by both the Olympic Mountains and the bodies of water that surround the Olympic Peninsula. It is generally a marine climate, mild and temperate, with the Pacific Ocean moderating temperatures throughout the year.

Winters are cool and cloudy with rain and some snow. Maximum winter temperatures are in the mid- to high 40s with minimum temperatures in the mid 30s. Summers are warm and relatively dry with maximum and minimum temperatures in the mid 70s and low 50s, respectively. This area averages 51 inches of precipitation per year.
