Palisade State Park lies in central Utah and occupies 65 acres on the shores of Palisade Reservoir. In addition to water-oriented activities visitors come to this state park for golfing, camping and picnicking. The park borders the western boundary of the Manti-La Sal National Forest, which provides access to hiking, mountain biking and off-road vehicle use trails.

Park facilities include 53 individual campsites, a sandy beach, modern rest rooms with hot showers, group camping area and covered group-use pavilion. Canoe and paddle boat rentals are available. There is also an 18-hole golf course, practice range, professional golf shop and snack bar within the park. Hiking areas abound and Six-Mile Canyon provides excellent off-highway vehicle riding immediately outside the park.

Visitors to Palisade State Park can participate in numerous outdoor activities including: swimming, fishing, nonmotorized boating, golfing, picnicking and camping. Bordering the park is the Manti-La Sal National Forest, which contains mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle trails.

This region of Utah, like most others, is arid, receiving approximately 12 inches of rain per year. The fall and spring are the most pleasant times to visit Palisade State Park, and also the most crowded, with warm days and cool nights. Summer brings very hot days and visitors are encouraged to curb rigorous activities during the afternoons. In winter expect warm days and very cold nights.
