This park lies at 6,000 feet above sea level and encompasses nearly 4,000 acres. Within the park lies a wide sweeping expanse of pink sand dunes that stand several hundred feet tall and provide a variety of recreation opportunities.Maintained at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is a 22-unit campground that can accommodate RVs up to 32 feet in length. The campground offers showers and modern restrooms. There is a 14 day stay limit. A short nature trail and boardwalk provides information about the desert flora in the park. Most visitors come to this park for the miles of dunes open for off-road vehicle use.
In addition to off-road vehicle use, which is the main attraction of this park, visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, picnicking and photography opportunities.
The southwestern region of Utah is arid like the rest of the state with hot summers and cool winters. Summer temperatures can reach daytime highs near 100 degrees F with cooler nights. In winter the area sees some snowfall with high temperatures reaching 55 degrees F and night time lows below freezing. Precipitation reaches this area in the form of summer thunderstorms and winter snowfall.
