Acton State Historical Park encompasses .01 acres in north central Texas, south of Fort Worth. A memorial to Elizabeth Crockett, the second wife of Davy Crockett, is the focal point of this state park. The memorial marks the burial place of Crockett on the tract of land given to her for her husband's service in the battle of the Alamo. Crockett lived on this land during the 1850s until her death in 1860. There are no facilities at this state park and no admission fee.

This state park has no facilities. The main attraction of it is the monument built to mark the burial site of Elizabeth Crockett, Davy Crockett's second wife, who was married to the frontiersman when he lost his life in the Battle for the Alamo.

Visitors to this site can view the historical marker at the Crockett grave site.

This park lies in the Brazor's River Valley at an elevation close to 1,000 feet. The climate is generally warm with some humidity. Winters in this region do get cold, but lasting snow doesn't occur often. Summer temperatures are hot, but not as humid as the Gulf Coast or eastern Texas. Spring brings rain that can be heavy and a few tornadoes usually touch the high plains each year. Fall weather generally means stability in the atmosphere with crisp, cool nights and sunny days. Current weather conditions can vary from day to day. For more details, call the park or Park Information at 1-800-792-1112.
