Popular with fishermen, boaters, day-users and campers, the 395-acre park is on a peninsula providing access to Lake Hartwell. Nearby residents and travelers enjoy its peaceful surroundings and convenient location near I-85. Opportunities at the park abound for viewing deer, wild turkey and other wildlife. Lake Hartwell, with its 56,000 acres of water, provides numerous opportunities for water activities.

The campground has 37 sites and accommodates RV's up to 40 feet. The sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Three picnic shelters are available free on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved for a fee. Enjoy fishing in Lake Hartwell for several species of bass, bream, crappie and trout. The park has a boat ramp. Pine Grove trail is an easy half-mile one-way hiking trail.

Sitting on 56,000 acre Lake Hartwell, Sadlers Creek State Park offers numerous water based activities including fishing and boating. The park also offers camping, picnicking, and hiking (on a 1/2 mile trail).

South Carolina generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Snow and freezing temperatures are possible in the winter at the higher elevations. Thunderstorms are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.
