Nestled along the shore of Lake Jocassee against a picturesque backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains lies Devils Fork State Park. Visitors will enjoy nearby waterfalls, the Chattooga River, hiking trails, and numerous other state parks located on or near SC Highway 11.

Contemporary mountain villas make this park a popular vacation destination at what many consider the most beautiful lake in the state. This cool deep lake challenges anglers for trout and many other species of game fish. Visitors can choose a cabins, villas, or camping for their overnight accommodations.

The camping area has 59 sites which can accommodate RV's and 25 walk-in, tent sites and some boat-in, primitive camping. Day-use facilities include trails and a park store/tackle shop. Enjoy fishing in Lake Jocassee for brown and rainbow trout, large and small mouth bass, white bass, crappie, bream and catfish. Also provided are boat ramps, picnic shelters, and playground equipment.

This large park offers numerous outdoor recreation opportunities. The most popular activities available include camping, picnicking, hiking, viewing the scenery, fishing, and boating.

South Carolina generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Snow and freezing temperatures are possible in the winter at the higher elevations. Thunderstorms are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.
