Nescopeck is currently under development. Future plans include an emphasis on environmental education that will focus on the natural resources of the park. Nescopeck has forested areas, a variety of wetlands, a small lake and a high quality trout stream. At the present time, this park is under the management of Hickory Run State Park.
The upper portion of Nescopeck Creek in the park has been designated by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission as a delayed harvest area. Current users of the park enjoy hiking, bird-watching, cross-country skiing, fishing and hunting.
