Located approximately 73 miles from Manhattan off the Long Island Expressway, Wildwood State Park encompasses 600 acres of relatively undeveloped land used for camping, fishing, hiking, swimming and picnicking. The park is open year-round with seasonal camping.Wildwood State Park comprises 600 acres of undeveloped hardwood forest terminating on the high bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. Trailer and tent sites are available for campers. Swimmers can take advantage of the cool waters of the Sound and picnickers can relax at shaded picnic tables as their children enjoy the nearby playground. Visitors can fish and use the hiking and cross-country ski trails. An annual Fall Festival is held the first weekend in October.
Wildwood State Park offers a swimming beach, a bike trail, hiking trails, a nature trail, fishing site, concession, playground, recreation programs, picnic tables, campground and cross-country skiing in winter.
