Just south of Boonville and north of the recreation delight of Delta Lake, Pixley Falls State Park offers scenic camping, a beautiful waterfall, forested hiking trails and a popular trout stream.

Pixley Falls State Park is best known for its 50-foot waterfall, trout stream, lovely trails and streamside camping and picnicking. The park is open year-round to the outdoor enthusiast and especially those who enjoy cross-country skiing. A popular winter trail runs along the Black River Canal, which is just inside the park entrance.

Pixley Falls offers streamside camping (22 sites), picnicking, hiking trails, a short nature trail, coldwater fishing opportunities, hunting ground and an opportunity to cross-country ski.

The Pixley Falls area experiences average January temperatures from 18 degrees to above 22 degrees Fahrenheit (-8 to above -6 degrees Celsius). It is important to note that this area receives some of the heaviest snowfalls in the nation. Summer temperatures average around 72 degrees Fahrenheit (around 22 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from 36 inches to more than 44 inches of rain and snowmelt. The heaviest precipitation is received in the region's northeast segment.
