Brantley Lake is the southernmost lake in New Mexico, offering water sports and year-round camping to visitors. It also is New Mexico's newest state park. Park amenities include a visitor center, group picnic shelter, shower, restrooms, and a playground. Camping facilities at the park include 51 developed sites, all with electric hookup, and a RV dump station.
The "Go-fly-a-kite" rally is held in March, the "Shoreline Sweep" is a part of the Park's Earth Day celebration in April and the "Kids Fishing Clinic" is held in May. Throughout the summer, Saturday night campground programs are a favorite.
Recreation opportunities at the park include camping, picnicking, boating, water-skiing, sailing, and wildlife viewing. Trails in the parks offer hiking and scenic views. Anglers can catch a variety of warm water fish such as largemouth bass, walleye, channel catfish, white bass, bluegill, and crappie.
Annual precipitation is 12.8 inches. Summer temperatures range from lows around 65 to highs around 95. Winter temps range from lows of 29 to highs around 61.
