Big Bend is Nevada's newest state park, situated on the shores of the Colorado River below Laughlin in Nevada's southern tip. The park offers dramatic views of the river and surrounding mountains. Visitors beware in this desert climate as summertime temperatures can soar up to 120F! Big Bend is an excellent place to visit to escape colder climates in the late autumn, winter and early spring months.

Big Bend of the Colorado currently offers a picnic area, showers, and a boat launch. A campground and hiking trails will be available in the future. As with most of the Nevada State Parks, a small day-use fee is charged for use of the park.

With its riverside location in this surrounding desert climate, this new state park is a popular spot for picnicking, fishing, boating, and swimming. When completed, the park will also offer camping and hiking.

Typical low desert conditions, winters are mild with temperatures ranging from freezing to 75 degrees. Daily summer highs usually exceed 100 degrees and may reach 120 degrees.
