Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park is a small natural haven from the busy area in which it lies. Park interpreters bring to life the importance of man and nature living as one. This day use park is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day offering picnicking, restrooms, terrific views and five miles of hiking trails, some of which are handicapped accessible.

Situated along the shores of Casco Bay and the Harraseeket River, the park is dedicated to nature appreciation. The 250-acre park provides interpretive signs on trails and guided programs for groups and the general public. The seasonal park is popular with travelers.

Summer months at Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park invites the visitor to enjoy guided nature walks, beautiful sight seeing opportunities of Casco Bay and Harraseeket River, well maintained picnic sites and clean restrooms. The park is ADA (wheelchair) accessible.

The Greater Portland and Casco Bay Region sees daytime winter temperatures averaging above 18 degrees Fahrenheit (above -8 Celsius). Summers are pleasant and rarely experience hot days. The visitor can expect daytime temperatures to range above 68 degrees Fahrenheit (above 20 Celsius). The region has an average precipitation of more than 44 inches (112 centimeters) each year. Summer rainfall averages 3 - 4 inches per month.
