George T. Bagby State Park and Lodge features a 30-room lodge, restaurant, five cottages, and 18-hole golf course. The park's marina and boat ramp offer easy access to the 48,000 acre lake for fishing and boating. The large picnic shelters and 50 picnic sites are perfect places for families to enjoy their catch. Visitors can look for wildlife along the three mile nature trail which winds through the hardwoods and pines of this 700 acre state park. A swimming beach and tennis courts are also available.

Boating and fishing enthusiasts will enjoy George T. Bagby State Park and Lodge. There is plenty of fishing and boating on Lake Walter F. George and private boats are permitted. Visitors should also take advantage of the nature trails, picnic facilities, swimming beach, tennis courts, and 18-hole golf course.

Georgia has a warm climate, especially in the southern regions of the state. Expect high temperatures and humidity levels during spring and summer months. The area can offer a relatively warm escape for snow-free outdoor recreation during the winter months.
