loved the beds in this hotel very comfy. We had some noisy nbrs so not very good insulation in the walls but other then that comfy rooms nice breakfast.

Hotel looks great but is not. I am shamed to be a former Hilton employee at the old Austin Hilton because Hilton is not so great anymore. Most horizontal surfaces in the room are coated in dust. Tub calking is cracked and dirty looking. Overall, housekeeping and the management of it is poor. The executive lounge is not worth it. there was only one worker who sat at the computer the whole time and barely looked up. They ran out of the little food they had to offer and she did nothing about it but shrugged her shoulders. the food they offer is low quality. It is like a cattle call feeding frenzy in there sometimes and gross. The rooms are built cheap. Thin walls where you could hear the drunks coming in at 2:00 am. The frot dest was RUDE. The work out desk was RUDER. Treated me like a tresspasser even though we are Hilton diamond level. also, you have to pay extra for the workout area (if not upper level) which is a ripoff. The workout room is good though. The bathroom area though was bad with wet towels on the floor, broken shower, smell, etc. Very Bad Management at this hotel. I have written them about it too and they do nothing. The coffe shop help was good though; very nice service. This hotel is a shame. It looks good, is in a good location, is a Hilton, etc and should be top notch. It is barely above a holiday inn though. BAD MANAGEMENT!!!! I expect much more from Hilton.

During my stay at your hotel I became ill. I called my hometown doctor and he called in some medication. I then called the front desk and they picked up the medication and delivered it to my room. I really appreciated their help!

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown, so its easy to walk to 6th Street and the Capital - both of which are worth seeing. The staff is super friendly but not sure if its worth the money...gotta pay extra for wi-fi and the pool was super crowded...a hotel with this many floors needs more than one pool! My bathroom had mold on the shower curtain, the a/c made some strange noises and the remote only worked half the time...so overall not the greatest hotel for the cost.

if you like tiny pool areas and limited lounge chairs by the pool. I stayed here the second weekend in May to see a show at Stubbs BBQ. The hotel is pretty convienent to everything like 6th St. and the front desk was very courteous but the pool area was TERRIBLE. The people at the pool check in desk were rude.Not only that but there is very, very limited seats/lounge chairs. I recommend going swimming right when it opens at 11:00am otherwise you will not get a lounge spot. I even tried going later in the day about 4:00, and yet still no spots. Instead we went to Barton Springs Pool which is only 10min or less away from this hotel. Had an awesome time at Barton Springs! i recommend this hotel,, just take note of the pool.

I love this hotel. I stay there every year for a conference that should be a nightmare. The people the staff have to deal with... But they treat me like a princess from the moment I walk in the door. They are helpful, friendly, generous... I would never expect this level of service (5 star) from a conference hotel and I refuse to stay anywhere else in Austin. Because it's a conference there are other options, less expensive. The Hilton books first because of its proximity to the convention center. They needn't be so accommodating and yet, they always are. The rooms are spotless, the service is sincerely warm and friendly, and it all makes for a lovely week, every year.

From the moment we got there, the service was great. Very clean throughout the hotel. Very nice room. We have no complaints...plan to stay here if we return to Austin!

The Hilton Austin was a nice hotel but the noise from Sixth street was terrible. We could hear music, people partying and cars honking right outside our window until 2:00 in the morning. Needless to say we didn't get a lot of sleep. It was a Saturday night so maybe this wouldn't be a problem for weekday stays. It's a shame because otherwise we liked the hotel.

We booked our 300 person holiday party there with the assurance that valet parking would be included. That was a lie. No valet parking and the ambience of the hotel is disjointed, surgical and unromantic. This is on top of an experience of a friend who arrived at 10 p.m. only to be told that his reservation was not available. Shuttled off to the Doubletree Austin, in a bad part of town, he was not treated fairly by management. In a word, tone deaf and incompetent management ruins an otherwise prime property.
