Hampton Inn Savannah-Historic District, Savannah

Staff was the most unkind, unhelpful, unfriendly I have ever come across while staying at a hotel. Not only were members of the staff terrible, We were in a room next door to a crying baby all night. The food for breakfast was terrible, no variety there. I will never stay at this hotel again and I suggest if you are thinking of staying...... Don't

This is a perfect place to stay to experience the historic section of Savannah. It is a new hotel (one of the employees told me it opened in December of 2008). It is one of the cleanest hotels I have been to. Every staff member that we encountered could not have been nicer. The location is perfect. You walk out of the door, cross Bay Street, walk down the steps, and you are on the riverfront. You are only a few blocks from all of the things to see in the historic district. You can't go wrong staying here.

The hotel was right in the middle of the norhtern historic district. Concierge was very helpful and nice. A short walk to all the river restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Even gave us free water as we walked downtown Savannah. Much cheaper than other downtown hotels for a very nice stay.

I loved staying here! It was awesome! The staff was amazing! The rooms were outstanding. It is walking distance to everything that is cool in Savannah! We loved it and will be going back again! The only thing I didn't like about it was that the Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn shared so we couldn't hardly get into the pool because Holiday Inn's was messed up or something so everyone came to our pool and it was so small that it was awesome crowded! But overall a great experience the breakfast was great too!

My family and I spent 3 nights at the Hampton Inn - Historic District. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Cannot say enough good things about the staff. Breakfast was very good, location great; walking distants to everything, plus the hotel was on the trolly stop. I would recommend this hotel and I plan on staying there on my next trip to Savannah. Cannot find anything negative to say except that the pool is a little old and not heated, but we did not go there for the pool. Savannah is a beautiful city. A great vacatiion.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again. right downtown in savannah.

The staff is great and very helpful. We didn't encounter any problems. Facilities are very clean. Felt right at home.Location is excellent. We will stay at the Hampton again when we visit Savannah again.

WE had a very good time staying at the Hampton Historic District. Derek the front door man was great with helping us find our way and taking care of everything we needed. Breakfast was good, just make sure you get there before 10:00 am, they will take everything up. The only negative thing I experienced was with our maid who basically did not want to clean our room and ask me specifically what we wanted her to do. I told her clean the room and she got a attitude with me. Once I reported this, they said they would take care of it. Also the small parking lot was a pain getting in and out and there is no wireless internet in the room, you have to plug in.

Our family LOVED the Hampton Inn!! We had the best time ever. The staff was great and we loved the view on the 7th floor. You must stay here it is GREAT !!
