Disney's BoardWalk Villas, Lake Buena Vista

I didint stay here, but ive been to the pool and eat there, and walked the boardwalk, so its an, ablalute Amazing setting with super cool pools and stuff!

Me, wife, one 11 year old, 1 14 year old. Got here Saturday, room not ready, wait for the room, call them on the special number to find if room was ready, when ready got our bags and went to the room, room was - bed not done, dirty bathroom, used towels on the floor, garbage still on the cans, used soap.... call them (SORRY SIR THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN), they gave us other room, walk all the way to the another room with all bags got there, soap used, towels on the floor, garabage can used.....Finally move to a decent clean room, about 2 hours later. Sunday went to sleep 3AM, today 8AM, hammer noises on the top floor, all kind of working noises, We cannot sleep. Manager asks if that is a problem????!!!!!!!??!?!?!?!!? Service is terrible, worst nightmare.

I liked this place because it had a lot of things to do and it is interactive with the parents and the children. I disliked the fact that it was quite expensive and they had taken away the lake front rentals.

The Boardwalk Resort is a great place to stay for relaxation but the kids might get board. They do have a waterslide, but it's lame compared to some of the other moderate resorts which do not cost as much. The Caribbean Beach Front is the best for you buck if you bring the youngins. The Boardwalk has an awesome jacuzzi that you can view the fireworks show for MGM every night. That was pretty cool. Transportation was easy except to get to the Magic Kingdom.

The Boardwalk is a great way to relax. Bike around the lake, rent a boat, watch the many boardwalk shows, eat at any of the wonderful restaurants, The ambience is wonderful and the service just as good. Would come again.

We are members of Disney's time share program (the "Disney Vacation Club"), and this is our home resort (the one we purchased an ownership interest in). Presumably, that would bias me - and to some extent, it does, because I wouldn't have sunk serious four figures into purchasing into this property if I didn't think it was worth it. The Boardwalk is in essence the "grand dame" of the Epcot area resorts. It's the most elaborately themed and was the first "hotel" style time share resort Disney built. It has two sections - the "inn" component (the hotel part open to the general public) and the time share villas. The crown jewel accomodations here are the villas and inn rooms that directly face the lake, Beach Club Resort and Epcot. These directly overlook the 1930s style Boardwalk waterfront, and I can't describe the magic of sitting on your balcony at night overlooking this very special area of Disney World. At 9pm, you have a front row seat to the massive fireworks display put on at Epcot every evening. In addition to all the abundant entertainment and dining activity on the boardwalk, the resort offers three pools (two smaller, "quiet" area ones for adults who want a respite from Disney World mayhem) and a huge themed one with an amazing roller-coaster themed slide. Note the latter has the unique distinction of being the only hotel pool of any Disney property that is open 24/7. I can't describe what a hit it has been for my kids to go for a dip at 1:30am after getting back from a late night park visit. The lobby is an homage to the grand vintage waterfront hotels of the pre WWII Jersey coast, with a wonderful lounge (the "Bellvue Room") that serves the most gracious continental breakfast of any Disney property. Service at the Boardwalk is responsive but reserved; Disney Vacation Club members continually rate the staff at this property as having the best morale and attitude of that at any Disney hotel. Bottom line - this is easily one of the most attractive deluxe Disney properties. The combination of luxury, enviable location (within walking distance of both the MGM and Ecpot theme parks), and unique theming/ambiance make it an excellent choice for families willing to spend the premium to get a truly top-of-the-line "on site" Disney World experience.

I LOOOOVED this place. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's location is the best. We could walk to Epcot...or take a boat, which was wonderful since it was our favorite park. We could also boat over to MGM. It rocked being the first hotel to be picked up too. Also, being on the actual Boardwalk there are plenty of restaurants...but still make your reservations in advance...more advance than the same day. I saw a lot of people turned away. I made mine months in advance. Also, the rooms were gorgeous. Ours was on the the top floor. We could see Epcot from our balcony and we could watch IllumiNations from there as well. It was lovely. I will always stay here.

Disney Boardwalk Resort is the perfect spot to stay at when visiting Disney World. The service is top-notch, the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings are AMAZING. You are only minutes away from Epcot's WorldShowcase and either a twenty minute walk down a breathtaking path by the water or a slow serene boat ride to reach MGM Studios. All other parks and disney areas or easily reached by bus. The restuarants and shopping in the Boardwalk area are amazing. The awesome Boardwalk Bakery is a must-see and must-stop location. The food here taste as good as it looks and it looks out of this world. The pool and hot tub are the best I seen in my world travels. The pool is heated and has an amazing slide. The hot tub there is a great place to relax after a long day at the parks. At night the Boardwalk really comes to life. There are side show type entertainers, face painting, Surrey bike riding and more than is all family friendly. For the single set or couples there are several clubs such as Jelly Rolls which features Dueling Pianos. I have visted Disney World fifteen times and The Boardwalk is my favorite place to stay.

We have been Disney Vacation Club Members for 5 years now and every time we go back to Florida we enjoy every minute and every second of our stay including the unpredictable weather, rain or shine. The staff are courteous and friendly, there was only one person in the reservation office who was rude and abrupt on the phone but her supervisor took care of that problem when I reported her. Our club member representative is Rowland Lammers and he is the BEST!!!!! He is very accomodating and always there to answer questions for you. He is one reason why we became members besides MICKEY and MINNIE. BOARDWALK is the place to indulge yourself at a mediocre price. Thank You So Much Walt Disney for ALL THE GOOD TIMES. KEEP IT COMING, my family love you!

We stayed at the Boardwalk last May on a time share that was given to us from a friend. Typically we wouldn't go stay at a hotel this pricey, but this trip it was free. Personally, seeing the price, the room we stayed in didn't really meet those standards. It was nice and we had a beautiful view of the pool and lake, but the room was a bit small. The Hotel itself was absolutly amazing! It had such a great atmosphere, and the Boardwalk at night was breathtaking! Also everyday we were able to take a free boatride to Disney. The staff seemed very nice and the hotel was extremly clean. The only other complaint I have is that it was an extremly long walk to get from our 5th floor room to the pool or even outside! The few elevator there were, were very far from our room so we had to take the stairs. It got very, very tiring walking up and down 5 flights of stairs which if I'm not mistaken was around 80 steps. If those things don't bother you a I highly reccommend the Boardwalk. I can't get over how nice the lobby and all the other areas of it were. It was truly an experience I will never forget!
