Unreal!
I've worked for a hotel company for 8 years and I have never seen such lack of service, unprofessional staff and filth in my life. We paid for the room with cash upon check-in. I was originally checked into a room that was already occupied. I understood that these things happen in hotels, no worries. I approached the desk to have the issue resolved. While the front desk agent began to look for another room, I decided to visit the restroom located on the lobby level. There were atleast 8 roaches in the foyer before entering the bathroom. I decided that I had seen enough and couldn't possibly stay, so I asked for a refund and not another room. The front desk agent (wearing a dirty shirt with no hotel logo or name tag) said that she can not give me a refund and would have to wait till someone got in at 3:00pm. I was livid! I had given her cash just 15 minutes prior to this conversation. How can she not be able to refund me the money? So, we had to get some manager on the phone and he confirmed that she can not process the refund because she had to enter a code into the computer ans nobody has the number. The agent put the manager "Frank" on the phone and after many frustrating questions and irritating nonsense, he guided the agent on how to give me a refund. Sure enough, she reached into an open drawer with no lock, key, combination or computer code and handed me my money back. Unless it's the only hotel available in Newport News, do not stay here!
