Zinfandel Inn, St. Helena

This is a beautiful castle like inn. It is just beautiful. We stayed in the Zinfandel suite with a fireplace and a very large jacuzzi tub, very romantic. It has its own private balcony overlooking the garden. The garden is a perfect place for a wedding. Can"t wait to go back someday!!

The Zinfandel Suite was fit for a King and Queen. Very large with a beautiful tub for two. The inn Keeper was very personal and witty. The breakfast was well presented and filling. The garden area is something to be-hold. We look forward to our next visit.

At a glance and on the internet this place looks quaint and nice. In person it is old and out of date. The mattress and bedding was not what you'd expect from a good B&B. It more closely resembled a cheap Hotel. The fireplace in our room was not working nor was the hot tub located in the back yard. We called the Innkeeper to see if the fireplace and hot tub could be fixed and he implied that we didn't know how to push the button, not that they were inoperable. He had a very condescending attitude towards us the next morning at breakfast.

THe place was in the vinyard but the rooms were a little dussty and filled with cobwebs. The owner was nice, but the cleanliness left a little to be desired. The welcome champagne was warm and not on ice. There were no comp wines or cheese. Only Breakfast. Needs an overhaul.
