Eureka Matterhorn Towers, Eureka Springs

What a wonderful place to stay. Chris the owner is great and if you need anything just ask. Loved the little dog that visits with you. Will go back every time we go to Eureka Springs.

My husband and I decided to venture to Eureka Springs for his 30th birthday this past weekend. We enjoyed the St Pat's Parade, a pub crawl, shopping and eating...we also very much enjoyed our stay at the Matterhorn Towers! Chris was an amazing host, very kind and easy to get along with. Aubrey, the amazing canine bellhop, was an absolute JOY! She accompanied me to our room several times, greeted us in the lobby and even went to shop with me at the thrift store next door! The room was clean, comfortable and a great size. We will DEFINITELY stay here again, in fact, probably every time we come to Eureka Springs! Thank you to Chris, Aubrey and the gang at the Matterhorn, we had a blast!!

EVERYTIME I go to Eureka Springs, I stay at here. It's always been a good experience. Clean rooms, nice staff, and not like your typical hotel. It's got open hallways, nice gardens surrounding a kid friendly pool, and it's furnished Bavarian style. Makes your vaca a little extra memorable. It's not like just staying in another run of the mill chain hotel. I will warn you tho, if you decide to go on a ghost tour while staying in Eureka Springs, take the tour guides advice and tell the spirits to stay behind, and not to follow you! My mother, friend and myself didn't take that advice the first time we went or the second time. BOTH times we had "experiences". The first was just the tv and lights going on and off. The second a shelf fell off the wall in the bathroom only to be found sitting perfectly on top of the toilet, nothing moved on the shelf. Then we had shadows in some of our pics of our room. Only once have I stayed here and had nothing happen. I don't know if it's spirits following us from our previous ghost tours OR if the Matterhorn Towers has it's own ghost? But, I think it's kinda cool and we've never been hurt, so I keep going back to see what will happen next time....

The place was great. The owner Chis is a very nice man. I liked the style of the rooms. it has a balancy to go and sit on. We sat out until 1:30 in the morning. could not hear any noisy from the street . Great location. Will go back!!!!!!!

I am the ladies leader at our church and we took a retreat to Eureka Springs to see the Passion Play. Matterhorn Towers was recommended to me by a friend...and I did not regret the choice I made going there! All 13 ladies felt right at home as soon as we entered the Lobby. Chris helped in any way he could - and the dog was never a problem...actually a cute added touch to make you feel right at home.

We stayed for a few days on a summer vacation. It was awesome. The owner Chris, treated us like family. My kids loved the pool and playing with the bell hop, a cute little dog that lives there. There are many different kinds of rooms to choose from. We stayed in the suite and it was well worth the extra money. We are planning another trip and will stay at the Matterhorn Towers. You should too if you are going to Eureka Springs.

July 18, 2010 - This was a wonderful place to stay. It was very clean, decorated cute and had everything I wanted, including the price was spectacular! Although right off the main road, you couldn't tell in your room at all. It was very quite. The owner and staff was so friendly and helpful. We visited with the owner quite sometime and the dog NEVER jumped on anyone and barely even went to anyone. She was trained so well.

Owner plays really loud music outside in the morning. He also lets his dog jump on his guests and follow them to their room/car. NOT EVERYONE LIKES DOGS!!! There was even a pile of dog poop on the walkway outside our room. I picked it up myself to prevent myself, my family or anyone else from stepping in it. GROSS!!! We won't be back.

My Husband and I traveled by car to Eureka Springs to get married. We decided not to make any set plans past our private wedding. As we toured the winding streets of Eureka Springs, we happened on to THe Matterhorn Towers where the room rate was posted on the sign oout frount. What a great rate we thought so we went into the office. The manager stood behind the antique looking desk as we inquired and checked in. The room was very clean and extremely roomy for two people. To our suprise there was even a jaccuzi tub in the bathroom. If your just good down home people looking for rocking chairs on balconies and up in towers you'll love this charming motel. There was such warmth from the staff. Continental Breakfast was included in a cute little breakfast room off of the office. There was even a local news paper waiting for us out side of our door in the morning. The location was great, right acroos the road from the Trolley Office. We would go back in a heartbeat. There was nothing lacking for this newly wed couple. Charm, warmth, cleanliness, were the order, and full helping of little balconies, nooks and crannies to explore with your sweetheart or with the entire family.

When our family daytrip to Eureka Springs turned into an overnighter we stopped in a several hotels to find the best deal. Without a doubt nothing beat the Matterhorn. The manager friendly and eager to make our stay the best it could be. The room was clean and a 7 out of 10 on the freshness scale. A little tight but fully equipped. If you want a romantic hotel in Eureka Springs, keep looking. But if you want a prefect family hotel, give the Matterhorn a try.
