never again
By Colin, 8/6/09
The maid stole my cologne and also my friend's when we left the hotel for the day. I didn't know that cologne was in such demand. The hotel staff was terrible. The place was not worth what the room cost. After much fuss the hotel gave me a credit of $100 for the stolen items. They tried to charge me $14.99 for a movie the maid started to watch in the middle of the day, when I was gone from my room the entire day. Just one person's opinion ....I'm not a negative person ..just had a bad experience

I'd stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/08
My wife and I brought our two children (7 and 9) in October 2007 for a convention at the CC. Great location to walk to Little Italy just two blocks away for plenty of Italian restaurants. Coffee shops and mom and pop grocery stores abound, so there's always a place to grab a beverage, day or night. Room was comfortable and quiet, looking toward the CC from the 13 floor. Actually enjoyed seeing the planes land much of the day. Front desk service and consierge were quite nice. Easy cab to zoo, CC, Balboa, and airport. Walked to a party on the USS Midway one evening. Stayed during the changeover
By Sean, 12/31/07
Those reading the reviews may notice most talk about the hotel being a Radisson. In fact the negative review from Phoenix, AZ was posted during the week of the change. We checked in on a Tuesday while it was still a Radisson and found a lobby in the midst on construction. By the time we checked out the following Tuesday the only sign it had only been anything other than a Doubletree was the Radisson magnets that refused to cleanly come off the airport shuttle. The staff was helpful throughout the stay. Close to Little Italy and if you don't want to walk al the way to Ralph's, there's a litle corner market a block and a half down towards Little Italy. Only complaint is distance to Convention Center but the shuttles help.

The view was SPECTACULAR
By Edward in NC, 11/23/07
We stayed the very first and last night of our two week vacation at this hotel. We stayed on the harbor side and could not ask for a better view. The room was clean and the price was right. The breakfast bar was a buffet and for around $13.00 you could have it all. It was great.

I Don't Want to visit this place again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/22/07
Well, the survice was first awful. It was about 170 dallars with no breakfast. Well, last hotel we stayed, which is Best Western Inn, it was about 130 dallars with breakfast and so clean and the location was perfect, well Radison Hotel Harbor View has a very bad service. The Parking lot's Ramp was so narrow. It was hard to get through. It took about 10 minitus to get through. It is just awful. Well, only cleanliness was good. So that is all. I would say Raddison hotel harbor view is poor.

Watch I-5 traffic and planes land
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/07
Front desk staff not very nice. Rooms need to be renovated. If you have a car with you expect to pay $15 a day to park at the hotel in addition to your room rate. Difficult to actually get to the hotel the way the one way streets work in this neighborhood. It's not the worst place I've ever stayed, but I would not choose to stay there again.

3-star hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/4/06
This is a 3-star hotel. The neighbourhood was not very child and family friendly with no grocery stores and no where else to eat that is within walking distance Brekkie buffet was BAD with hardly any choice The room is worn and has seen better times but clean. Wireless broadband reception is spotty at times, not very constant The gym is also old with adverts on the wall the seem to be circa 1980s but otherwise useable The shuttle bus driver was this tall Black guy who was very friendly and obliging This is NOT the place to bring the family along. Strictly for business and convention goers Tipping is required and appreciated for those new to N America it is not that near to the San Diego convention centre. Need to take the free shuttle organised by the convention centre if it exists. Dont be out alone in the night esp in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Does not feel safe at night

Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/06
I had a nice room, clean and well appointed, wonderful view of the construction site across the street, which I found interesting, and not too noisy. A very nice lobby, bright and comfortable. This hotel is located on the edge of Little Italy, and about 10 blocks from the Gaslight District, and the light rail is a short 6 blocks away, so great access to Old Town. The concierge staff was wonderful, very helpful, but the desk staff was uneven, great at check-in, not so much at check-out. We tried to have dinner in the restaurant, but after self-seating and waiting 10 minutes with no staff in sight, we walked to Little Italy for dinner.
