woohoo, this place is great and its really clean and its got good food!!!!!!!!

Just got back last night and coudlnt wait to post how terrible both Oasis and Grand Oasis were! Had to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade and still was bad. The food was very bad everywhere, they try to sell you timeshare everywhere you go! Everyone tries to scam you for your money. Nothing but loud teenagers from other countries getting drunk all day long adn then puking into the pools! Do no go there, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

First of all I have been to Cancun about 10 times already. Every time I stay at the best hotels (5 stars) and never have a problem. This time around we stayed at the Oasis and had read some terrible reviews but decided not to listen...boy was I completely dumb not to listen to all the bad reviews! The hotel has no air conditioning except the rooms and feels overall muggy. The front desk people are the rudest EVER and pretend to be talking on the phone so they won't attend you. I only encountered about 3 waiters that were friendly because the rest feel like it isn't their job to serve you and would rather be doing something else. Most of the food is disgusting..other hotel restaurents usually switch the menu up every night but not the Oasis....oh no they serve the same food EVERY single day and honestly gets pretty old. OH and I forgot to mention that in one of our rooms their was a dead cockroach! Please if you ever read this review DO NOT stay here....even one of the bartenders was saying what a crappy hotel this is. In none of the other hotels I have stayed at have I ever seen pool so dirty....there were mountains of cups by a palm tree and I never saw anyone properly cleaning the pool area. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Worst hotel NO AC unless ur in ur room or the gift shop, some of the battenders r bad they give attitude lizards in hotel, me n my bro lost $20 each wen e let our wallets there beach was ALWAYS HOT and smelt like urine and it was small no deep end the beach was VERY VERY rocky... the balcony doors were hard to close and open LOTS OF BUGS and FLIES in the hotel customer service was VERY BAD they didnt understand anything i said towels hard to get floor was dirty water was dirty only but i had an ok time still sucked though.

im goin in march hopefull its not as babd as everyone is saying (im goin with 25 friends all 18 n were gonna party n never be in the room lol)

I recently stayed here and I must say you get what you pay for. The all inclusive part is pretty nice however the rooms are not that great. They feel very humid and spell muggy. The front desk staff is not helpful. Our room had to get changed because after several hours of asking the front desk for help (upon our arrival)-nobody help fix our ac. In the second room the bathroom was giving us problems and our television set did not work. We were fine with this because we barely spent time in our room. However, the straw that broke the camels back was when an ignorant employee named Marlene refused to work with is when we explained how my fiance lost his wristband that allowed him access to the hotel. She stuck to her policy and tried to charge us $100 USD to replace it. That would have been fine until she proceeded to say that I was calling her stupid because I simply was asking her to please try to understand our situation and help us out. She also tried to accuse us of trying to sell the bracelet on the internet if she gave us another one. She offended my when she said "If you are calling me stupid (which I did not!) then what does that make you?" Just know that at this hotel- the customer is not always right and they are the first to let you know it.

PLEASE READ AND DON"T STAY HERE.......OK first I did not read the reviews first. Big Mistake!! I asked the travel agent we went through what she thought and she said it was a good medium place to go for what we wanted to spend. I spent $1400 for 2 to be there Friday through Tuesday that price included flight too. Anyway when we got there at noon they told us our room was not ready and we would have to wait until 3 we did get in at 2. Then a person with the travel agency we went thought wanted to sell us everything under the sun we told him to leave us alone that we didn't know what we were going to do yet we just got here. Well that pissed him off. When we did get into our room the air was not on and the room was very hot and it never really did get cold in there just really took the humidity out of the air. We got a room with 2 double beds that they pushed together. So if you are going with another couple the beds will be together so the 2 in the middle get to snuggle ...LOL. The room was OK we had no frig in our room like they said we would. The safe you have to pay $3.00 a day for but we did do that just to be safe. The food was never good in any of the resturants we went to. We did not get to use the Grand Oasis resturants or bars and if you did it was another $18.00 a day per person if you want to up grade for that building. I thought we had access to all the resturants and bars not true. So I have no idea what the Grand is like for their food and drinks. It sure looked a lot better through the windows when we walked by. The breakfast buffet was always cold and the food was never good we just picked out what we knew would be good and that was usually the fruit. The coffee was terrible I was never so happy to come home and get a good cup of coffee. OH and there was such a smell in our building it smelled of rotten eggs or sewage was just awful. The water in our shower was hot but I did hear of other people complaining about hot water and that it was brown ours was a little brown at first. They never cleaned our room good we never got hand towels or wash clothes only a bath towel and some days we got 4 and other days we got 3 we had 4 people in our room so we used the beach towels they give you. Don't loose one as you will pay $50.00 for it. If you loose your wrist band or key it is $100.00. The drinks were never good the beer was warm. I was just so dispointed in this place. Like another person said in a review the pictures of it looks great but once you get there it is not. If you are going to Cancun I would look else where and if it cost more to get a better place I am sure you will have a better time. If you don't care about bad food and bad drinks or dirty rooms then go here but don't blame me when you see how bad it it really is. I wish I would have done my homework first and picked a better place. This was my first time in Cancun and I will probably never go back I have been to way better places in my 48 yrs of life. Good luck on your trip to cancun if you go just don't STAY HERE!!!!
