Hotel Balzac, Paris

This hotel is GREAT! It started when I called the day before we left for Paris & requested a room with a view,as we were approaching the door,it was a little misty outside,the door man rushed out with an umbrella & someone else rushed out to get our bags,then we were seated at a desk in comfortable leather chairs & we registered our room wasn't ready so they sat us in the bar & served us coffee,then we got to our room & i noticed there was a lil balconey & when I opened the windows there was the Eiffel Tower! GREAT VIEW! especially at night when the lights are on & sparkle every hour at the tower,anyway while unpacking I realized that they didnt ask for money or a credit card at check-in,that was a 1st....anyway the staff was great,I dont think they were used to seeing people in baggy jeans,t-shirts & baseball caps,but they were great....1 thing we missed was the restuarnt in the hotel at the time it was the hottest 3 star restuarnt in Paris,we didnt find out till the afternoon we were leaving...also it is yards away from the just right around the corner from the Arc & steps away from the Champs,oh & the post office around the corner is great place to do currency exchange ( a little secert someone told me the post office gives 1 of the best exchange rates )
