Munger Moss Motel, Lebanon

Just stayed there because I liked the reviews. It was clean and a good price. Bed very uncomfortable, but would stay there again because of the price. Sort of charming, but could have been decorated a little better. Support your local businesses! Free wi-fi should be called "slow-fi."

We checked out several other hotels/motel/s while on the road to Lebanon. Prices.... OUCH! and they weren't Even Holiday Inn class! We then called them. Ms. Lehman answered them phone and was so pleasant to speak with. She gave us their rates and we jumped on it and told her we would be there shortly. She allowed us to see the room before renting. HUGE! CLEAN! The rate was the best! We've paid a lot more and gotten less in a lot of other hotel/motels we've stayed in! We will definitely stay there again when in the area. In fact, if we have to drive a bit out of our way to stay there we will!

We traveled from Chicago to Lawton, Oklahoma over the Christmas holidays and stayed at the halfway mark in Lebanon, Missouri at the Munger Moss Motel. I recommend it highly, not just because it’s the “Route 66 experience” but because it’s a great Route 66 experience. Look, just because you’re traveling route 66, and there are a lot of us, and staying in a vintage motor court doesn’t mean you have to go all primitive. It is a bit chancy and many motels that advertise themselves as “vintage” are really nothing more than old and run-down. The Munger Moss Motel in Lebanon Mo is vintage, preserved and maintained beautifully, but it is not in any way primitive. The rooms are clean and spacious with cable TV and WIFI if you need it. Of the three amenities, clean tops the list. After all you hear about the shoddy maid service in even, or I might say, especially in the large mega-motel chains, it is comforting to stay in a family owned motor court that you know is kept up with some degree of pride. Owner Ramona Lehman would have it no other way It confirms my own preference for blue highways and small independent motels where you can back up to the door to your room and unload. Munger Moss is a friendly and solicitous place that in terms of comfort and hospitality, is truly a throwback to the old days when service meant something. Highly recommended.

We absolutely love staying at the Munger Moss. We stayed there prior to having our daughter, and now find it is a great place to stay with an energetic toddler. Our little girl loved to run around the grassy grounds, and we really enjoyed a dip in the pool. Dinner at the bowling alley across the street rounded out a perfect day.The owner/ operators of the motel were very friendly, and our daughter warmed up to them quickly. Our non-smoking room was spotless and comfortable after a long day on the road. We plan on going back this June !!!

The service was friendly, and there is a gift shop in the office with great route 66 stuff. We stayed in the theme rooms, Texas Route 66 for us, the Coral Courts room for my sister. It was great vintage decor, and everything was comfortable and very clean. Located right off the highway, and just down the street from restaurants and stores, and best of all, right across the street from a bowling alley! It has an outdoor pool and an outdoor chimenea fireplace. We loved it and it's a great value. We will definitely go back.

The office reeked of tobacco,the desk clerk was very rude.It was nothing like the 1st review. I decided to go some where else.
