Nice for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/08
Very nice, clean, helpful staff. This hotel is close to freeway (805) so most attractions are quite accessible. The maintenance staff was very polite and helpful. We stayed in the "Jr. Suite" BTW. For the price, we felt, a nice family friendly place to stay.

Nice little motel.
By Charles, 07/23/08
Stayed two nights in July, 2008. Very convenient to (805). Reception was slow but only because the nice gentelman was being overly pleasant to new guests, which was good to see. Two-queen room was modest but clean, beds were very comfortable. Quiet at night, no street noise. Bathroom small but clean. Nice touch was the soap dispenser in the shower. Air conditioner in room was not working to maximum, but it was okay. Continental breakfast was okay, not great. Free USA Today newspaper at front desk. Burger King and expensive Los Arcos Mexican seafood restaurant next door, Dennys across the street. Only reason I gave the service a 3 was because it wasn't needed except upon checkout. Everyone was friendly and courteous. And the price directly on the Ramada website was cheaper than Hotels.com or Travelocity. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Just OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/07
My 93 year old blind aunt loved it. We got a smoking room because there were no non-smoking rooms available. IT was terribly noisy. Kids were running up and down the hallway. The breakfast was just OK. The fruit wasn't very good. The coffee machine was good. It's a great location for me and that's the only reason I'd stay here.

Best value in Chula Vista
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/16/07
This is an old property being refurbished. New bathrooms, excellent bed & pillows, excellent TV. Table with two chairs in the room - needed for playing cards or working - but often missing from hotels. Outstanding breakfast with protein, fresh fruit, adult cereals - better than any other hotel in recent memory. Outstanding location, easy on/off from freeway. Good selection of restaurants adjacent to hotel. Downside: All soda machines out of order. Phone message system not working. Unannounced room safe charge - had to catch it to ask for refund. Dim hallway lighting gives cheap hotel gloomy ambiance.

OK, except for the health warning
By DanD, 10/13/06
The hotel itself was fine. Not a top notch establishment, but what I expected for the price paid and the location. The service was fantastic, but a $200.00 deposit for a wireless internet hub was a bit steep in my opinion. The kicker, and reason I won't go back, is the Health Code plaque posted in the Elevator Lobby on each floor. Apparently there are materials in the building known to the state of California to cause cancer and reproductive system damage. That kind of irked me that it wasn't posted at the front desk...you only see it after you've paid for your room if you turn around after getting off of the elevator.

Just an average stay...
By MichaelT, 05/10/05
Just a few complaints...the A/C wasn't working and there was a lot of road noise if I opened the window. With the window open, the sheets seemed to get "sticky" pretty fast due to the humidity. However, if you must stay in Chula Vista then it is a pretty fair value.
