Great for Business, Not for Tourists
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/09
This is a beautiful, modern, and well appointed hotel. It, just like any of the high-rise hotels in Tokyo has an incredible view of the city. The service was good, the location is also good with a JR station nearby. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for tourists because its a little outside of the all the sites and sounds that you'll probably want to visit, but that doesn't mean you should stay here. It's so easy to get around Tokyo using public transportation, so don't worry about some of these hotels that are right in the center of the action.

I would stay here again!
By MichaelY, 12/03/07
I stayed at this hotel four nights. The room was bit small but the room was clean, modern, stylish and a nice view of the city. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel is right next to a JR (Japan Railway) and a subway stations and close to upscale shopping area as well as lots of restaurants in different price range. I had a bowl of hearty udon (noodles) for $5 and had some money sushi and sake for $90. The hotel made my first Tokyo experience a great one and looking forward to coming back soon.

So nice we're going twice
By Skyezgrrl8, 07/05/07
We stayed at the Park Hotel last Nov. to early Dec. It has everything you could want(ok maybe not a huge guest room but it's Tokyo!) We loved the fact that the hotel is close to the subway and to the Shimbashi JR line. There are great shops and restaurants close by, the staff was courteous and knowledgeable(they spoke perfect english) and didn't seem to mind our (i'm sure) butchering of the Japanese language. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful, the jazz in the lounge was great and the hotel rooms were nicely decorated, with wonderful views. We loved the Park Hotel so much we're going back in August 2007 and staying even longer. I highly recommend this hotel...for those interested the minibar prices were very cheap :) Dee

Great Hotel
By pam, 08/27/06
I booked this hotel as part of a package so it was a deal. I was pleased with the overall design & style of the hotel. Everything is modern, clean, simple, yet stylish. This is a big step up from many of the Japanese hotels I have stayed in. My room was a little small - very typical for Japanese hotel rooms but very nice. It included a very comfortable bed and flat screen tv. I did book an aromatherapy massage that was wonderful! The staff did not speak English which may be a problem for some. The treatment was exactly what I needed and I even fell asleep. If you are planning to stay here, be advised that it is not very close to a train station. You will need to walk a bit. In addition, some taxi drivers tend to confuse this hotel with other hotels with similar names so be sure to tell them Shiodome & the hotel. This hotel does not offer a lot of dinning choices either. Finally, I found that there are few scheduled pick ups from this hotel to the airport via limosine bus so I ended up waiting at the airport for a while. To avoid this in the future, I would take a cab to another hotel that has more pickups. With all that said, I would still love to go back and stay at this hotel.

Superior Accomodations
By Stephen, 01/23/06
There are several very fine, upscale hotels in the Tokyo area, but the newer Park Hotel Tokyo brings excellence at a fair value (well...fair for Tokyo, anyway). The standard rooms are a little small, but the upscale suites are wonderful, and all rooms are on the higher floors of the building, affording wonderful views, especially at night. The location in Shinjuku isn't bad either, with all sorts of attractions lying in wait just outside the lower lobby entrance. The Park Hyatt might offer a touch more class, but for the money, the Park Hotel Tokyo is a tough act to beat.

Best Hotel (for the money) in Tokyo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/07/05
The Park Hotel is a relatively new hotel located in the Shiodome Plaza (Tokyo's Radio and Television Broadcast Center) near Shimbashi Station. This luxurious hotel's lobby begins at the 19th floor of the Shiodome Tower and boasts an open, triangular atrium (straight through to the 30th floor) and offers a magnificent view of the city. All rooms are decorated with sleek Italian furniture and the hotel offers all amenities that you'd find in a hotel twice the price (ie: The Park Hyatt Hotel across town). Make no mistake, this hotel is just as luxurious, the service is great, and it's much less touristy than it's cross town counterpart...making it the best value in Tokyo. Just remember to ask for a room with a view of the Tokyo Tower.
