Sunsational Beach Rentals Pelican Pointe Resort, Clearwater Beach

Units are owned individually by private owners that double book the rooms, mis quote ammenities and generally just mis represent. I have stayed @ the resort twice, and there is a night and day difference under the new management and it's not for the good. Beware of booking unit 123, the owner has managed to ruin a vacation that was planned for 6 months.

DON"T STAY HERE!!! The hotel was a flashback to 1980's spring break. The room was dirty when we checked in. We weren't even there 15 minutes and my 2 year old daughter found a used condom under the bed. Great housekeeping. Management only offered a verbeal apology.

Booked to rooms each with 2 beds. Both rooms had one bed and a sleeper couch. The rooms were not clean and the facilities seemed the same. My 23 month grand daughter was playing on the floor in the bedroom and fuund a used condom under the bed. Do they also rent the rooms by the hour?

I love the quality of this hotel and the fact it has an kitchen unit attached. My children and I love the place and the location it is really close in walking distance to the beach. Clearwater Beach is a wonderful place to vacation. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We had 5 rooms, with a total of 12 guests. We booked our reservations in October for a vacation in March. The rooms were not as ordered. One room was supposed to have a crib and they did not have one. Another room was supposed to have two beds as in the picture on the web site, it did not. The hotel was full so they could not give us another room. The couch does pull out, however the mattress is terrible and we actually put it on the floor to make it somewhat comfortable. One day the cleaning crew never showed up. No new sheets, towels, toiletries, nothing. Another room that was not part of our group had a clogged toilet. The were told the maintenance was not here. They asked for a plunger to fix it. The hotel staff said they did not know where they could get one. This is a party location, the college kids are having a lot of fun very late into the night. If you leave the A/C on, it drowns them out for the most part. The shape of the hotel causes the sound to echo from the pool. It is a shame it was so bad, the beach is a few hundred feet away, with several restaurants and shop all with in walking distance. However there are several other hotels close, CHOOSE ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!

We absolutely loved the Comfort Inn in Clearwater. The staff was professional and courteous, the rooms were immaculate, and the breakfast alone each morning was worth the price. My wife took our children and my mother on the trip of a lifetime. We spent 5 days in Clearwater and then went to Key West. I wish we had just stayed in Clearwater. We love it there and highly recommend this establishment.
