Clam Digger Inn, Atlantic Beach

we have stayed at this place off&on since 1999 &cant complain about one damn thing! The people are very Nice & the price is nice too!If you want it cheaper come here jan-march its about $40 a night i know.For the Money you will not beat it. As for the food,some people are very peculiar and cant be satisfied no matter what you do so what .Some people complain about everything everywhere they go.We enjoy opening the sliding door & letting the fresh air in the room&watching boats &dolphins swim by.Its a lot better than being IN pittsburgh,pa polluted air so be thankful & enjoy your stay at the beach when its not crowded!I hope God will bless you so you can enjoy your life& not be so unhappy...Go to a good church. {GT WILSON}ENJOY! Have been going to Clam Digger for several years for Thanksgiving package and then in the spring. The rates are fantastic. Not a fancy place but have always found a clean and comfortable room. The food is great. Never had a problem with staff who have always been courteous and helpful. Don't know why folks had problem with internet. Worked in our room without fail all of the time.For the price for an oceanfront room, we definitely recommend this as a great get away place.

Rooms were dirty and were not cleamed even when requested. Overcharged for Room Service and would not correct the bill. Staff was rude to the point of arrogance

Great location for a beach trip. Balconies and ocean view in every room. Not convenient for shopping. To say the internet does not function properly is an understatement. No service in room, even though front desk said it is available. Also, in lobby it was sporadic at best. Our former dial-up system was more reliable. Bathrooms are very small and bedding is old, but being able to lay in bed and look out at the ocean made up for those areas. We stayed two years ago and it was a great deal cleaner on our previous trip.

Just stayed a week at the Clam Digger and it was extremely nice. The reservation desk was very friendly and helpful - even when I left my key in the room and had to get another. The restaurant was great - the food was good, (I especially liked the lasagna) the wait staff and hostess were very nice - the one day that I decided to eat in the room, the cook was wonderful and even called the room when my order was ready. The maids that cleaned the room were very nice. (I only talked to two - not sure how many cleaned.) The room looked and smelled clean and I did not have any complaints with the bed - especially loved the balcony. Not sure if the hotel scheduled the porpoises, but they were great too. We had 1 full week of training and covered parts of the whole hotel. The only complaint is that the in room internet did not work the whole time, but I got on 3 days our of 6 - and did not miss it enough to go to the lobby, where it was working with no problems. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a good place with good food and friendly folks at a great price. I am looking forward to attending our meeting there next year.

Where as the location is good, the service is terrible! Rude staff. They only use clean sheets every other day regardless of condition. bed spreads and carpet need replacing in the worst way! House keeping did not replace our towels, vacuum or replenish shampoos and soaps. be prepaired to take your own! In trying to have a conversation with management they were less than helpful and common words one might think should be used when paying $200 a night such as "Please" and "Thank you" are not in thier vocabulary. As for the food.. it's better at McDonalds!!

The server was so rude we left before we ordered. She acted like we were irritating her because my 89 year old mother-in-law wasn't ordering fast enough. We left and wen to Witten Wharf where it was clean and friendly and the food was great. The Clam Digger looks like a nusing home dining room and is drab and dirty. It was horrible. 't

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great view, food was pretty good at their resturant (I only ate breakfast) but the stay was well worth the price, which wasn't bad either. On the weekends they had a DJ. Pool was clean.

The room was nice and has a great view, they all really are ocean view rooms. The best part of the stay was waking up around 7 in the morning and going on the balcony and seeing dolphins playing in the water, not too far from the shore, we seen about 6 different dolphins! We stayed for one night (off-season) and the price was reasonable. We didn't see any "critters" but the room did have a funny smell when we first walked in. I would stay here again. Staff was friendly. We ate breakfast in the restaurant, but we didn't care for it, we wouldn't eat there again. Overall, you definitely get your money's worth! Room is okay size, we didn't plan on spending much time in the room anyways, but the bathroom is very, very small!

Guys at front desk very friendly, made us feel welcome. Lady bartender (sorry I forgot her name) fixed best drinks, waitress in restaurant was awesome and dinner was great. Room was very nice, top floor, great scenery. Really hated the bathroom, but everything else was great. We will go back again.
