Neighbor of FREAK from the review below (lucky us)
By ,
RE: Threatening General Manager. First off I want to say I have stayed at InTown Suites for nearly 9 months now and have NEVER had any issues AT all with any staff or members of management. With that out of the way I want to share the perspective from a neighbor's view on the review posted by "Royal" Wednesday night at around 10:30pm I was laying in bed with my 3 year old and I heard yelling, it was the husband "Royal" outside in what appeared to be his underwear. He was cussing and clearly upset because he could not be outside without a shirt on. the next day, same story different staff member, I hear commotion, look outside, and the same man is yelling at the top of his lungs this time wearing shorts, (no shirt) and seriously he could not say 3 words without one being the f word. Like almost anyone, I watched through my window, as the manager was calmly standing there while this man, ripped him a new one verbally. The manager called someone, I thought it was surely going to be the police because this man blasted him with threat after threat while the manager, stood there hardly saying a word. But the police never came. The man followed A.J. (GM) without a shirt on chanting, "I am an American, I have rights. You can't make laws requiring me to wear my shirt when I am outside." Um, which one of the Bill of Rights state that?

Gave away my reservation
By ,
This place gave away my reservation. They were unapologetic and rude about it. They clearly don't need or want my business. Very disappointing. Please avoid them.

Do NOT stay here!
By ,
Where shall we start??? First of all, the rooms are TOO small! Supposedly three people can stay in the one-bedroom, but that is a big lie! Housekeeping was supposed to come on Thursdays but there were several times when we had to remind them. They do routine "checkups" which I considered an invasion of privacy. One of the housekeepers was very loud and rude. She should have been in charge of security. We had noisy neighbors on both sides, yet when we called to complain NOTHING was done! The stairwell NEVER got cleaned or repaired. We found food and beer bottles several times. We also called to complain about kids running up and down the balcony and again, nothing was done. One of the reasons we got this place was because it offered internet, yet we were never able to access it. The water pressure in the bathroom is nonexistent. We had to settle for taking quick showers with either scalding hot or very cold water. Overall, the place could be a good place to stay, but the people running it are very unprofessional. Whoever the owner is, you better come check on your employees because they are running off customers like us. Edmond is a very nice town, but this hotel would make someone think twice about staying here. One more thing, the "security" guy needs to quit partying with the guests. When you come to Edmond, stay AWAY from this place.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
By ,
Intown Suites in Edmond was a good place to stay except for some little issues. First, the good: The Staff was wonderful and helpful. The rooms were clean, and sheets and towels were changed weekly, and the stove top, fridge, and laundry facilities were cool. Second, the bad: The bugs. Bugs and spiders were everywhere. We placed strips by the doors and under the A/C to catch most of them before we found relief from them. Still, we had many of them crawling everywhere during the night, and the ugly, crawling on us in our bed. I don't know how it was on the upper floors, but the first floor was the worst. I suggest you get a second floor room, and pray that you don't have the bug invasion that we experienced. We paid two hundred dollars a week for the two weeks we had to stay before our home was ready. To all the wonderful people that work at this location, I'm sorry for this recommendation. However, I do not recommend anyone staying there unless you have bug spray, bug pads, and a hungry lizard to eat them all.

Would never recommend,,,
By ,
First I would like to say I made our reservations in Feb 09 for a week in May 09. The hotel looked very nice from the outside, my sister lives in Edmond and said it has been there less then 5 years. My other sister who also lives in California was with me and we went into the office to check in. The girl behind the counter acted like she was not familiar with anything and seem confused when I told her we had reservations. She first asked us for our drivers license so we both took them out along with our credit cards and handed them to her. She pushed our credit cards back at us and said she would hold onto our license while we checked out the rooms to be sure they are what we wanted. As we walked out I told my sister I don't have a good feeling about this. I told her the last time I was told that was when I went to check into a motel in Seattle and when I checked out the room I found it was rented out by the hour. I took the keys back to the manager and he told me the kind of place I was looking for was down the road. Well my gut instinct was right, as soon as I opened my door which was on the back side of the motel I had the feeling the room hadn't been cleaned in months and the bed was only half made which made me wonder if the sheets had even been changed. I wasn't even touching anything when my sister appeared in the door and told me to come look at her room. I walked next door and the blinds were off the window and on the floor, the air conditioner was taken apart and laying in pieces on the floor and the drawers were all pulled out of the dresser and laid all over the room. They don't have smoke free rooms and they both reeked of smoke. My sister is allergic to cigarette smoke so I knew there was no way we could stay and I wasn't going to in a room that made my skin crawl. We went back down and told the girl in the office we wanted our drivers license back and we would be looking elsewhere. While we were getting our licenses back some guy walked into the office behind the counter with a shaved head, tatttoo's all over his body talking about problems in another room. Sorry but I don't think this guy would have known the difference between a hammer and screw driver. I wrote an e-mail to the InTown Suites telling them of our experience but never received a reply. I guess they don't care what people who chose not to stay at their dumps have to say. I don't need a 4 or 5 star motel but I do require a room that has been cleaned, a bed that I'm not afraid to sleep in and security on the door that makes me feel safe. None of that will be found at the InTown Suites in Edmond Oklahoma. If you see this place and I am sure you will agree it looks nice from the outside take my advise and please KEEP DRIVING. There are numerous places to stay in Edmond and you will sleep better staying in any of them!

For ANY Length of Stay - This place is great!
By ,
We read all the bad stuff about this place before actually checking in but decided to give it a try since it met our needs for a long-term stay. We are glad we did; the room was clean and well taken care of; the bed is very comfortable. The employees are accomodating, professional and friendly. We've been here nearly two months and have not regretted it for a moment. The conveniences of a full size refrigerator and onsite laundry only add to what has been a very positive experience. One final thought, for the very reasonable rate (per week) you won't find a better value.

I can't wait to leave this dump !!
By ,
The location was fine. The value was not good, because of the poor service. As far as cleanliness,I had to clean my room when I checked in because it was so filthy, and it was probably more clean in years when I checked out! The so-called manager, Michael fisher ,seemed to lack management skills of himself and some of his employees. It would be a nice place if: some cleaning was to take place inside the rooms and the parking lot (that was exceptionaly filthy!) If there was a security guard on duty! And for a security guard you will have a weasel with a pony tail and beard, that is afraid to come out of his paid rent free room! Some cars were vandalised and as far as noise is concerned nothing gets done about parties all night long.

Not Very Clean
By ,
The location was okay for me and I am use to hearing trains (behind the building). But the suite was not very clean. Toilet had not been clean, okay, it was nasty. They do not offer daily towel service; you have to wash your own towels. The dryers in the laundry room did not completely dry our clothes, for example: 4 towels were not dry on the first load. This place is great for people who are not into clean places, they just a place to sleep. No alarm clock, TV did not get local channel Fox 25 and the TV is about to go out, the beds were not the greatest in comfort, the couch need to be tossed out. It was hard to get anyone after hours. Good luck if you stay here.

Not for vacationers
By ,
I was very unsatisfied with this hotel. We found cock-roaches and ticks(many of them) in our room. There was no alarm clock and no-one on duty to give you a wake-up call, which is helpful when you have to be somewhere at a specific time (like the airport). Another bad thing was you only get two small and thin washcloths for the entire week. I prefer not to shower with the same washcloth for seven days in a row. There is also only whatever toilet-paper that is leftover from the previos guests on the roll for the entire week. The bed is also very small for two large adults to sleep comfortably in. My opinion of this hotel is that it is geared towards guests that are in-between housing since there is a full sized refridgerator and stove and is actually more of a small apartment than a overnight hotel stay. I would rather have fresh towels, a coffee-pot, an alarm clock and a better bed than all the appliances. As a guest for over-night I would also like to have a free continental breakfast and pool or hot-tub. This is my opinion.
