Comfort Inn Maquoketa, Maquoketa

The staff is warm and friendly. My husband and I, our children, grandchildren and other family members stayed there when my father from the area passed away. They were most accomodating. We even used their banquet room for a funeral dinner for family and were able to bring our own food in. The kids love to swim there and have homemade waffles in the morning for breakfast. The beds are comfortable and the rooms quiet. The prices reasonable. We plan to stay there every time we go to Maquoketa. J.S. and Family

My husband and three kids went on vacation to Maquoketa last summer. The town was great and this hotel was incredible! My family can't wait to return.

We had several problems when staying here (1) sheets had hair on them, told front desk who said there was no housekeeping on staff - they gave us clean sheets and made us change the bedding ourselves! (2) we asked for hand towels in our room & ended up with a half dozen bathmats instead! (3) the shower curtain was torn and full of mildew (4) the toilet wasn't flushing right - again no housekeeping on staff - so the front desk gave us a plunger in a plastic bag and made us fix the toilet ourselves! (5) other guests left dirty towels in the hallway in the afternoon - I was shocked to still see them on the hallway floor the next morning - staff was not attentive to keeping hallways picked up or clean! (6) the breakfast included make-it-yourself waffles...the tools to remove the waffles and clean the waffle maker yourself included a spatula and a nylon cleaning brush - the brush was filthy dirty! Made you not want to eat the waffles! Overall, it was not a pleasant experience staying here but considering there are only two other hotels in town - this is the better choice of the three!
