Embassy Suites Fallsview, Niagara Falls

My wife surprised me with a weekend at Niagra Falls at the Embassy Suites. Our beautiful room was on the 33rd floor with spectacular views of the falls and the surrounding area. The staff at Embassy Suites is exceptional! Tony and Troy who work at the lobby went above and beyond to make our trip a true pleasure. They both remembered our names after meeting the first time. Our room was spotless and beautiful. We had a newspaper at the door in the morning. All in all it was a great getaway at Niagra Falls due to the staff at the Embassy Suites. Thank you everyone! We can’t wait to go back!

I checked in on August 26, 2012 at about 10pm with confirmation on 2 QUEEN PREMIUM FALLSVIEW 2-ROOM SUITE and found this hotel does not care its reputation at all. While I was parking, my wife checked in and got FALLSVIEW 2-ROOM SUITE (partial view). When my wife asked if this is our booking, the lady lied and said ’yes’. After I showed them the printed confirmation, then they said our booking is gone. I told them that I booked for this hotel 3 times to get a PREMIUM FALLSVIEW (high floor & both view) suite. First, I booked FALLSVIEW 2-ROOM SUITE from hotels com web site and canceled after found out it has only partial view. Then, I booked a suite for both views from hilton web site and canceled after I found that's low floor (10 to 15). Finally, I made booking for High Floor (26 to 34) and Both View from this hotel's own web site. I also called the hotel 1 night before arriving to make sure I would have PREMIUM suite, the guy told me that there will be not many quests and that's not a problem. Now I wanted to know where my suite is. They said they do not know and not able check why my booking is gone. They also said they can give us full refund if we canceled the booking. WOW, FULL refund? They gave us a break! This is just meant that they do not care the customer. Your booking confirmation is NOTHING and they do not need to honor it at all. They just give you whatever they have. Take it or leave. That was about 11pm and I had to take it with offer more expensive than my booking from hotels com that they said that is already $20 off. Are you going to take your whole family to find another hotel at 11pm? It is a gamble to make a reservation for Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel. They really DO NOT CARE about you.

I will begin with the location is great! Everything all within walking distance or you can catch the shuttle. That is where the good stuff stops. When I made reservations online several weeks ahead, I was told $165 first night and $145 second night which was a Thurs and Fri. Well we arrived on Wed. That morning I looked online to be sure there was a room for Wednesday night. Which there was. My mistake for not booking it and canceling the other. When we arrived I was told they were "almost" sold out and if I paid $245 for the room for Wed. I could get one. Well, it was late and we were tired, so I said okay for Wed and to cancel Fri. During the two days spent there, I spent more time downstairs trying to get my bill straightened out than I did sight seeing. I had put Wed. night's stay on my credit card which should have been $302 after paying for the room and 2 days valet at $30/day, and oh yeah, an extra $10/night for ethernet cord b/c there is NO WIFI in the rooms!!! OMG! The worst hotals at $45/night have WIFI. And Thurs night stay on my checking debit card--bad mistake. Evidently no one understond how that worked! They charged me $533 on my credit card (saying the extra $200 was a hold on the card), $200.06 for Wed on debit and $345. on debit for Thurs. They ended up having to call my bank in NC to have the $345 taken off (oops their mistake) but I could not use my debit card for a few days until it was straightened out because I was in the red!. All I got was "I'm sorry." It is WAYYY over priced for what you get. I have stayed at Embassy Suites before in USA and have always been very impressed. Next time I come to NIagra Falls, I will stay at Comfort Inn. At least I know what I'm getting with them:) BTW--when I paid $30/day for valet parking, my friend and I had to go get our own cart, fill it up and struggle with it all way to our room. Employees standing everywhere with crossed arms. I am so upset. Please look elsewhere if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation--not frustration and anger. PS: I forgot, when we first got here, had to have housekeeping come and clean shower b/c hair all in it!

Every employee that we encountered was extremely pleasant & very helpful! We found our room to be clean, neat and tidy..NO BUGS! (lol) The breakfast and managers reception were a nice touch! & yes as others state...it can get crowded..but let's be honest...something for free and everyone comes out! :-) NO COMPLAINTS about the views...WOW, WOW & WOW! We will use this hotel again when we go to Niagara Falls! Nothing wrong with the location --we found it close to everything we needed! Yes, you pay $20/day to park...but that seems to be the normal fee in that area.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff, including the guys outside taking care of my car, were great! We enjoyed the dinned at the Keg as well as the breakfast and managers reception. The hotel is very close to all we wanted to see and the view from our room was UNFORGETABLE!!! I will absolutely stay here again when I return. Thanks for a great stay!!

Loved everything and everyone. All the employees were awesome! Our room was spectacular! The Keg restaurant was fabulous as well. Have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Highly recommend it and will stay there again.

I enjoyed the work-out room and the pool area, that's pretty much it. The room s were horrible and especially the non-wireless internet. The TVs were a joke no Aux. channel to plug in a DVD player. They want you to pay the $20 dollars for the movies. I would get in shape before going because you will want to take the stairs rather than wait 25 minutes for and elevator to reach your floor, then to see it is filled with dozens of people. Don't plan on sleeping in a bed the are like sleeping on the ground, i slept on the couch, which was actually comfortable, for my entire stay. Lastly, the $20 dollars you pay just to park your car??? If you go to the complementary breakfast one of the waitresses is the one reason i gave the service 3 stars. I would not plan on staying in this hotel again. Stay in the Mariott next door, looks a lot more customer friendly

Like: The room was great (29th floor) with view of both the falls. The free breakfast and drinks (manager's special) in the evening are great too, though extremely crowded. The room service and house keeping do pretty decent job. Dislike: Take a look at your bill closely. They are ready to pick your pocket anyway they can. Nobody ever told us that the bottle of water in your room will cost you CAD11!! But they will deduct it from the deposit. The valet is way too expensive $20/$30 a day. Also a hotel with a minimum basic facility will have wi-fi and flat screen TV. Sorry not here. You will be paying CAD 10 every day for using the internet (cabled). Also if you have kids, stay away from that tall maintenance guy with an accent, named David. He can be really rude to the kids.

We are planning to stay at this hotel for one night. Can someone please provide honest feedback, especially those with kids? Thanks!!

I loved everything!!! The beds were very cozy and the swimming pool was a blast!!! I am so excited to go back to embasssy this summer
