The hotel is clean and safe. Located on tonelle avenue wich is kind of a high way but not so noisy. The rooms are spacious with ac,fridge, microwave and cable tv plus internet. The best is the included breakfast in the morning ( bagel, croisant, muffins,pancakes, cereals, cofee, oatmeal....mmm...) 10 minutes from there, on bergenline street there is an established latin communiy you can go and eat tipical latin food from every country. Take as huttle to manhattan (5$ each way) and it will drop you in only 15 minutes to time square. The confort suite is the perfect deal to enjoy new york city at new jersey price. Tip: For those who travel light, a cab from the hotel to jfk airport is + or - 110 $ but take the shuttle to time square, get to port authority( only 2 blocks away from where the shuttle drops you) and take the shuttle to the aiport ( it was 13$ 3 years ago, ut check the web site port authority) or take a cab from time square to jfk airport for about 50$ you just saved about 50 to 80 $

Great service, clean and efficient, recommended for family, close to the park and ride terminal, simple in and out to NYC, Great value !! Do not have pool but staff in front desk were very helpful

Considering the high prices for a NYC hotel, this was a great deal for the money. The hotel shuttle service would get us to Times Square in about 15 minutes. The hotel was clean, but sometimes the staff could be a little rude. The shuttle service is convenient but expensive. It was $5 per trip per person, so between my wife, two daughters, and myself, it cost $20 to get into the city and the same amount to return ($40 total a day). They say that bus transportation is cheaper, but we didn't try it because the stop was some blocks from the hotel and we weren't sure how safe the neighborhood was at night. I would recommend this hotel. If you are like my family and on a budget, save your money by staying here instead of those overpriced Manhattan hotels. You can then use your savings on a Grayline or CitySights tour package, which is wonderful.

The room and check-in went smoothly. There is an in-room safe (charge of $1.00 per day) so we were able to lock up our passports and other valuables). The rooms had 2 queen-sized beds and a fold out sofa too, but we didn’t try to open it. The beds were a bit on the soft side, but very comfortable with two extra pillows and extra blankets because of the sofa bed. There is a desk, closet and a good-sized television in an armoire. The bathroom was o.k. Nothing fancy, but perfect for the price ($107.00) and location. The room was cleaned everyday after we left for the city using the shuttle. The shuttle leaves at 7:45 or 9:00 every morning. It is rarely on time. That is not a problem if you are on the 7:45 shuttle, but if the 9:00 arrives at 9:20, you are getting a late start. If you want to take the bus you turn left out of the parking lot for a couple of blocks to 10th Ave. and walk up a steep hill to Kennedy Blvd. The bus is the 125 ($2.55). We would take the shuttle in the morning $5.00 per person and take the 125 bus from the Port Authority (Gate 406). You purchase your tickets Bus 125, Zone 2 in the machines at the Port Authority. Buses are every half hour. Breakfast was not as great as we would have liked. The fruit (bananas and apples) were not great, the coffee is weak and the eggs and other accompaniments (bacon or ham...scrambled or hard-boiled) are pretty mediocre. The waffles were good. They have cereal, instant oatmeal, danishes, croissants, bread for toasts with many condiments. The one thing I can say is that it was a lot less trouble to eat at the hotel than to find a different breakfast place every day. It was convenient and it was satisfactory. Grocery store not too far away. There is a Burger King, Taco Bell nearby and a cinema not too far away either. La Fusta restaurant next door is good and has a vast menu that can please almost any palate. Free internet in the cafetaria but it is very busy. I would recommend this hotel to others.

we stayed at the hotel in july. it was very close to manhattan (10-15 minutes). the room was quite confortable, fridge was a great thing. breakfast was not super but ok we will for sure go back to that hotel when we return again to new-york . for our part the shuttle was a great thing the car stayed in the parking lot for the whole stay.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. For the price I paid, this hotel was defintely a good deal. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast is excellent- especially the breakfast runs for 4 hours (6-10 AM). The chef checks everything and refills in coffee pots as soon as it's empty. Make your own waffles are simply great! I'd give high marks for this service alone. The shuttle service was by third party and it was bit disorganized. We didn't have our vehicle so we relied on this shuttle as the bus stop (8th st) was nearly 5 blocks of uphill climb. The positive side of this shuttle serice is, since we went for a broadway show, we wanted to stay late. The hotel staff gave us the shuttle's contact number. The shuttle came to pick us at late night the time we requested for a very reasonable taxi fare. It was safe and worth the service. The same way if you call them ahead for airport pick up and drop off, they would do that taxi service too for a much less price than the airport taxi. Also if you do not want to use the taxi from newyork all the way to the hotel, you can take the mini bus from port authority bus terminal to Journal Square for $2.00; from Journal Square you can get a cab for $10.00 to the hotel. (you can tell the cabbie the directions- as left on Manhattan Ave, right on Tonnelle - after a mile or 2 you can see the hotel on the right side) I found this convenient as I didn't need to change buses. The surrounding of this hotel is not that great but the location is closer to New York and Jersey City. I didn't carry laptop so I didn't know about internet connection. I will defintely stay here if I visit NewYork again. But I want the reception desk to carry information on Newyork subways and Manhattan sightseeing as most of the guests who stay here are visitors to NewYork.

This hotel was not worth the money. This was truly one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. We booked a handicapped nonsmoking room in advance, when we arrived at 11:30pm after traveling over 7 hours we were given a room which had a horrible smell of smoke there was no non smoking sign on the room plaque and also no sign in the room.The frontdesk clerk insisted that this room was nonsmoking. We were told they only had one other room for us to switch to.This room had a hole in the wall in the bathroom and the tub fixtures were coming out of the wall. We were never given a handicap accessible room either the web site clearly states roll in shower none of the rooms had this.The final thing was that the Tv had no reception and half of the channels had no sound.

Very beautiful rooms, fully furnished (also with fast Internet connection!). And the staff of the hotel is very kind. The location is out of the center (is in a highway), and the hotel does not have any restaurant (but you can find outside a restaurant and two fastfoods). The problem is that the bed sheets and the towels are not clean!

I just returned from a stay at this hotel. Nice hotel, good price, good breakfast. The only negative was the available "shuttle" to NYC. Its actually a 3rd-party shuttle, not the hotel shuttle bus. It got us there and back each day at a reasonable price, but we found it to be very disorganized. Each day there was some kind of confusion at either the morning pickup or evening return, if not both. In reading another review for this hotel, I gather there is a public bus within a few blocks that goes into NYC. I would recommend looking into that instead of the hotel shuttle.

WE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL TWO WEEKS AGO AND I WAS VERY PLEASED. NO, IT IS NOT IN THE PRETTIEST AREA, BUT IT WAS SAFE AND I DID NOT COME TO HANG AROUND THE HOTEL, WE JUST SLEPTED THERE. IT HAD A GREAT PRICE AND EASY TO GET TO NEW YORK BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN AND RECCOMMEND THIS LOCATION HIGHLY. THE SAME HOTEL IN NEW YORK WOULD COST DOUBLE. REV. PERRY
