Customer Service Needed

Our room wasn't taken care of on our second day there. Despite going in & out throughout the day & reminding the front desk that no one had attempted to service the room (wet towels were piled up all day). At one point, we were told very curtly during the afternoon that the "staff were on duty until 5 p.m.). In other words, stop bothering me. Finally, at 4:30 on our way out to dinner, we were told that the "staff was gone for the day". I told the man at the desk that this was unacceptable & my husband told him he expected someone to "fix" the situation. When we returned later that evening, everything was accomplished. The next morning we were offered free breakfast, which we declined. THEN a few days later when my husband reviewed his credit card statement he noticed that the hotel had credited one night's stay. Never a word to us that they were going to do that. As I said, CUSTOMER SERVICE should be "job one". You won't get it here. Also, the pool could have been cleaner. Debris kept rising off the bottom.
