This room came with extras !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/13/11
This only proves that you get what you pay for. But in this case we got more. On entering the room there was a strong chemical smell, couldn't figure out what it was for. We went out and enjoyed some gambling next door before going to bed. I got up through the night and went into the bathroom, and the biggest cockroach ( 11/2-2") long came out from under the toilet and ran across the floor and under the door into the room. Thus the chemical smell. I am never going to stay at another Travelodge Hotel in Vegas or any other city again. The desk clerk did apologize and did not charge us for the room, or the extra company. However, he did not seem upset or overly surprised. Never stay there again never, never, never.......

Filthy Room & Housekeeping Carelessly Left Door Open
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/17/08
1) I arrived home and i noticed my door was left open. The bed was made hotel style so I was not the last one to leave. I complained to the management staff at which time a girl named Robin did not seem to care. Security, Luis said it was probably me that left it open and didn't really have any response when I told him the maid fixed the bed on my return. Security did nothing to check out the situation, nor did he even ask me any questions once given the report that an incident happened. In the morning, the manager that arrived for the am shift tells me none of her staff reported anything to her, so i was not taken seriously. Up to now, i don't know if the manager addressed the situation. 2) The carpet was so filthy i refused to walk barefoot. 3) Very dark room even with lights turned on. 4) The bathroom screen window had toilet paper holding it in the frame. the actual bathroom window had broken tracks. 5) the closet was exposed to the room with no doors and had a big bar on the wall. 6) the heating/AC unit had no knobs on the machine. 7) the shower curtain was so short that water leaked on the floor. 8) the bath towels were paper thin and were the size for a child. Summary: Very Unsafe, Dirty Room, Security and Management Staff not attentive.

Family friendly
By Kamakazi Queen, 8/31/07
We had family in Vegas for a basketball tournament and decided to meet them there for the day. I booked our room the night before, so it was a little on the expensive side, but we did get a $20 gas card which was a plus. The check in line was long, but the clerk was very nice. Our room wasn't great, but it did have a refrigerator (which we did not pay for, it said it was $12 extra a night on the web site). That helped out a lot since we had a 4 month old on our trip. The kids really wanted to swim but the pool closed before we got there (it was 9 or 10pm). The Adventure Dome was really fun. I bought my two older children wrist bands to ride all of the rides. I had a $4 off coupon they gave me when I checked in. A little expensive since we got there at 10pm and it closed at 10pm and for the smaller kids who can't ride the big roller coasters, but my 13 year old got her money's worth just riding that roller coaster over and over. Our family was staying in the main hotel and they commented that our room at the Travelodge was bigger and nicer than their room. Also, there is 24 hour security at the gate where you park your car, I liked that. The only thing I didn't like is the price of the breakfast buffet. They charged us adult prices for our 10 and 13 year old who didn't come any where close to eating $10 worth of food. Also, all the restaurants in the hotel closed at 10pm. You would think that in the city that never sleeps they would have something for people who arrive late at night like we did. And getting out of the Travelodge is kinda tricky, it's a high traffic spot with no light and you have to turn left to the main strip. All in all our stay was nice. I would stay here again.

Don't spend your money here!
By Carly, 6/27/07
To start, there was a large pile of funiture in the parking lot, the stairwell smelled like urine and the air conditioner in the lobby was broken. The room was totally unacceptable: one of the lamps was missing the light bulb, the toilet paper was placed on the counter, as the part that holds it in the toilet paper holder was missing, the baseboard was pulling away from the wall as was the wall paper, the sink leaked on your feet when the faucet was on and the shower was in horrible condition. There was an empty basket by the sink, where most motels would put soap and shampoo. All this for the low, low price of $159 on a Saturday night! It's one saving grace is that it is actually on The Strip, albeit as far as you could possibly be from anything and still say that. Plus, you have fun stories to tell everyone when you get back.
