Too bad ...............
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/08
This place has a great location, as there are very few lodging options for the Claremont area. Unfortunately, I think it has gone downhill (lost the Best accreditation?) since we first stayed here last year. The kitchenette suites have absolutely no kitchen furnishings: no plates, cups, silverware or cooking utensils. It's definitely seen better days.

Consistant

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Even when it was Best Western the service provided was great. I have stayed at other hotels in the area in the past and have found this one to be the most pleasurable.

Never use this hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/07
About March 10, 2007, I went on the Best Western web site to find a hotel that allowed pets in Upland, California. The Upland Best Western info on the site said it welcomed pets. I made my reservation by phone directly with the hotel. When I arrived on March 29, I was informed that pets were absolutely prohibited. The on-duty manager was insistent that their pet policy had changed in the last week or so and that my small dog would not be permitted. She further said that if I kept the dog in my car she would call the police. I informed her that we had already entered into a legally binding agreement which permitted pets. When faced with this, she said I could stay with my pet but that an additional charge of $80.00 was required (this is more than doubled room rate of $79.00). It was clear that she was doing this to ensure that I did not stay at the hotel. Accordingly, I found a room at a local Motel6. A business that engages in this kind of practice is one that should not be used by the public.

Value in the Eastern L.A. area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/29/07
We have stayed here a couple of times in the winter and spring of 2007. The hotel is located on Foothill Boulevard between Euclid and Vineyard, so it is an easy drive to Ontario, the Claremont Colleges, the 210 Freeway, the 10 Freeway, and I-15. The rooms are pretty large, very comfortable, and recently redecorated. If you want a larger two-room suite with a small kitchen and living room, they have a few of those. The price is very reasonable for the quality, and sometimes they have discounts through travel clubs and coupon books. They serve a complimentary continental breakfast, but if you want a regular restaurant, there are plenty nearby. We like it a lot and will return.

Good choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/15/05
We were very pleased with our stay. Staff was courteous and friendy, breakfast was well stocked. Rooms were clean. Beautiful view from the courtyard of Mt. Baldy. We were staying there while attending the races in Fontana. We were able to easily access and leave the track with minimal traffic. We will choose these hotel again.
