The Palms Resort, South Padre Island

We liked everything about the place. The bed was comfy, the suite was clean, the food and drinks at the beachside cafe was great. No crowds, no fuss, just a great place to vacation. I am so picky when it comes to hotels and I have to say that I didn't have one thing to complain about. If you are looking for fancy smancy .. maybe this isn't the place but if you are looking for a laid back and relaxing place to hang out and enjoy the beach life..this is it! We had a perfect view of the beach, parked the car right in front of the room, perfect access to the beach. Honestly it coudln't have been better anywhere else.

This is a horrible place to go. The staff is very rude. The food was cold and the drinks horrible. Not the place to go to enjoy yourself. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO!

Our stay was in July. This was our first trip to S.Padre. As soon as we checked in we had a few issues. They booked our stay for four nights instead of three so I then asked the young lady to wait and let me discuss with my husband before running my credit card, she then charged me anyways and then tells me they can not refund me.(I was furious) When we got to our room the room smelled of wet mold and the a/c was throwing out hot air and the floor was very sandy. I then went back to the office to tell the young lady when her and another gentleman accompanied us back to the room where she then took her shoes off and walked around in her socks to prove the floor was not dirty. My husband then told her that the room smelled and was hot. When we returned back to the main office , she had to take a call when the gentleman asked if we would like to look at another room we replied yes. The gentleman then took us upstairs to another room and we loved it. He then explained to us that the rooms downstairs are used alot more then the rooms upstairs and thats the reason they are not as nice. As soon as we returned to our new room I jumped on the bed and realized that the covers smelled as if they had been wet too long. I walked back to the office to show them and this is when they agreeded to refund me a day which worked out GREAT. I thanked the gentleman for everything and being customer friendly!!! The food is GREAT! The people at the bar were GREAT and FRIENDLY! We LOVED it! They have a seafood plater that is kick butt. The food and mixed drinks were better then anywhere else on the island. We view was great and the pool was always warm. My husband and I will return for many years to come.

We stayed 4 days and it wa heaven each day . The food the service and the staff was the best we had ever experienced . we loved it so much we went back an few weeks later andit was rocking again Ida and Freddie Livar

Liked everything service was first class and room was very clean .nice vue.next to beach.room service was awsome pool was nice and also clean, easly axessable
