A bad hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
A mix between a snoby club and hotel. This place is made for clubber, show off and staff are more interested to feel in the fashion wawe than to take care of the guests. If you stay here it seems you disturb the staff, there are not here to provide you service, they are here to show how sexy they think they are. Rooms not confortable at all, not clean at all, very noisy, wall seem to be in paper (if someone fart at 5 rooms from you you believe it is in the room). Food less than average. Many complaints of guests, but they are not interested. W hotel mexico is not a hotel, but a snoby place for staff. A place to avoid

a place for globetrotters
By Carlos Freitas, 03/29/06
- excelent bed - room is very comfy and has all the amenities - great neighbourhood. I felt very safe to walk around - the hotel bar/restaurant attracts a lot of hip people - lacks any mexican atmosphere, other than the extremely nice staff - you´ll feel hip and modern

Perfect Location!!, The best in the City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/05
I spent 5 nigths at the Hotel and the Location for al my meetings was great, Mexicans do a lot of deals in the Polanco Area, very near from Masaryk the Madison Av. in Mexico. They can improve the service but beleive me they treat you as as their unique guest. AT NIGHT YOU HAVE VERY FUN LOCAL AND INTERESTING LOCAL PEOPLE AT THE BAR, GREAT TO MEET PEOPLE!!! In Spain we like casual hotels and this is THE BEST IN THE CITY!!!

Ultra Modern Indulgence
By Samantha, 06/08/05
My friend and I arrived at the hotel around 9:30 in the evening. We were only going to be staying in the city for a couple of nights and decided to splurge on the hotel, and stayed in the beautiful neighboorhood of Chapultepec, Polanco. Upon entering we were greeted by incredibly friendly staff, glowing lights of various colors, an amazing bar, and an ultra-comfy lounge. We checked in without a single difficulty and the bellman carried our luggage up to the room. The decor of the entire hotel is incredibly modern, but in a very tasteful and esthetically pleasing way. Bold colors abound in this hotel as well as an incredible attention to detail. The spa area is also amazing beautiful and all of your stress just melts away upon entering--you don't even have to have a treatment to relax there. Every staff member down to the housekeepers were completely bilingual meaning that no guest will have any problem with a language barrier. The service was impeccable and I cannot complain about a single thing. One recommendation, even if you don't have the opportunity to stay at the W, be sure to eat at their restaurant. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Trendy place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/26/05
We just spent last weekend (21-23 May) at the W Mexico City, very beautiful view from our room, nice decoration etc... but I didn't like the general atmosphere in the lobby, front desk, restaurant, etc... At the checkin, they asked us to come back in one hour since the room was not ready yet, this was kind of disapointing. Breakfast was good but not worth the 500 Pesos (50,00$US) + Tip for two person. If you do stay there, go to the J.W. Marriott for less expensive breakfast.

This place sucks!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/05
It's like a combination of a snobby nightclub and hotel. It looks cool but the service is like that of a nightclub. Everyone working there is gruff. Service is horrible. There's a great view from the bathroom but you could kill yourself slipping around in the bathtub shaped like a coffee cup with a hammock strung across the center. It's totally impratical. There is a high speed internet connection in every room but it will cost you another $20 USD per day. The base fee for a simple room isn't bad but they hit you with all sorts of hidden costs. AND, they are cheap. They don't replace the expensive Aveda shampoo.
