Exceptional place to stay!!

From the moment we approached the friendly service desk to the moment of check-out..this was a wonderful place to spend our afternoon and evening. The decor was lovely in both the lobby and the rooms. Clean...good fitness room, nice pool and whirlpool area, the best breakfast we have had at a hotel!! Would absolutely stay here again if we are in the area.

The best place we have stayed in a long time!

From the moment we made our reservation, this was a great experience. The gentleman on the phone was friendly and helpful. We were in Effingham on a weekend when there were several events and most of the other hotels had doubled and tripled their rates. County Inn did not. It was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was better than most restaurants. I've already recommended it to friends who will be in the area and I highly recommend it as a warm and friendly place to stop at after a long day of travelling or just for a nice night away. Excellent place to stay!

The Country Inn was a very nice surprise. Great place to stay, very friendly staff, very clean rooms, very good breakfast, etc. When visiting or passing through Effingham, IL we will definitely stay there again.

Nice Stop on a long journey

It was a nice surprise to stay in a place that has suites big enough for a family of 5. Not many places have space for 2 adults and 3 growing girls. We were traveling from PA to MO and stopped in IL for the night. The girls enjoyed swimming (pool was open late) and the cookies in the lobby really hit the spot for the girls. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best I had as far as free breakfasts go. The girls hit the pool one more time in the morning (we had a delay in our start since our car battery was dead) Then we were back on the road again.

This hotel was very nice. Clean, great staff, great location. It was surprisingly quiet, and the pool area was great. Cookies go fast though!

It was very quiet even though it was so accessible to the Interstate. The lobby was plesant and the breakfast area clean and will staffed. Very friendly staff.

A home away from home

I especially enjoyed the staff and amenities at this charming hotel. The free breakfast with the great waffles and the fresh baked cookies were a huge plus since we were traveling as a family. The kids enjoyed the pool while I was able to get a little exercise. I would recommend this place to anyone with a family who is traveling on a budget.
