Hotel Anlage, Heidelberg

Great location, large room, Breadfast was pre-served at your table and unless you spoke German you were never told or asked that there were other choices. Other than the young man on the night shift the other 4 staff that we encountered did not make us feel welcome.

Hotel Anlage is set in a perfect spot, where you are only a few blocks from shopping, food, etc. yet on a very quiet relaxing street. IF you stay here you will get a truely German experience! I stayed in a small room with a twin bed with a balcony overlooking the street and garden, it was perfect for relaxing, i would recommend this hotel for any traveler looking for the ideal place to stay. The breakfast consisted of fresh baked bread and yogurt with a variety of marmelade and tea. Stay here if you get the chance! Internet cafe right down the street as well.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in May 2005 on a belated honeymoon. We just loved it there. It is just beautiful and we felt at home. The people were so nice and very helpful. Right on the edge of old town, and very convienent. We want to go back to Heidelberg and will definetly stay at this hotel again. We would recommend it to everyone.
